“Second Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

This was our second stay at the Venetian. The last time we waited until the wee hour of the moning, this time, rooms were ready. We had a great room on the 8th floor that while wasn't an upgrade view room, we had a great view of the mountains around us, so we considered it a view room.
The drawbacks to this stay were the horrendously slow and non-working internet/wifi which will need correcting and the fact that there is no coffee/tea service in the rooms which makes utterly no sense from a service standpoint. I presume expecting guests to pay an exhorbitant free for room service coffee/tea service and the flip side of that is having to dress in the morning to take a long hike for your morning beverage.
Our room, I think, was not one of the renovated rooms. The bathroom still has outdated gold fixtures although the room itself is quiet and comfortable and the bathroom spacious. We really like having the all-suite concept as it gives you more room to stretch out.
The hotel surroundings itself with the canal shoppes area is amazing just due to the near complexity of construction.
The other drawback which I find in all hotels in Vegas, and this one is no exception, is the putrid air fresheners that they use throughout the hotel/casino that when combined with the cigarette smoke in the casino area is enough to make you gag and just run through as fast as you can.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind words and feedback! It is a pleasure to read about how much you enjoyed our opulent accommodations. Our standard is a suite and we provide the largest standard accommodations on the Las Vegas strip.

I also appreciate your insightful feedback about in suite coffee makers. It is never our intention to cause our guests this unnecessary stress or inconvenience. For your next visit I want to recommend that you take advantage of the complimentary cup of coffee available as part of our resort fee. It can be redeemed at Cafe Presse with the voucher that you received at the time of check in.

I also apologize that our deodorizing system was not to your satisfaction. It is quite possible that, due to ventilation and air currents, the air freshener was particularly concentrated around the areas you entered. I think you will find that the scent dissipates and becomes more pleasing as you move about the property.

Thank you for you positive feedback and it is my sincere hope that I will have the privilege of welcoming you back to The Venetian | The Palazzo in the near future.

Kind Regards,

Kirsten Dimond

It's our first time in Vegas and I picked The Venetian for lodging. I am a Priority Club member but I didn't know this hotel was in the chain as well. So, we had just visited the Grand Canyon, and we were staying at Holiday Inn in Tusayon with $120 paid. That's a regular price of Holiday Inn chain, right. Then here we are at The Venetian, all suites 5-star hotel, booked with $149+20 per night. Though, nothing is complimentary here but it's a totally different experience, right? It's a great value to us. Plus, we requested a crib for our 13-month old. Came with the crib, there's also a surrounding bumper and a set of bathing care products which we had never received in other hotels that we had stayed since the baby was born. (We travel a lot.)

Room Tip: If possible, get a room on higher floors towards the strip which will cost extra in holiday seasons.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. No wonder it's rated the best hotel on the strip. The decor of the lobby, casino and adjoining Shoppes at the Canal is unbelievably beautiful- reminiscent of the glamour and romance of Venice. It's very seldom that a property lives up to the photos on its website, but in this case pictures do not do this hotel justice. We stayed two nights during the Christmas break for only $150/night for a 600 plus sq foot suite with two queen beds and a sitting area. Wow what a deal! Beware there is a $20 a day resort fee. Parking is free. This is one of the most popular hotels on the strip so expect crowds and hustle and bustle. If your interested in a gondola ride, you have to make a reservation and buy tickets in advance. Lines for the ride form early. The Venetian is walking distance to many of the other popular hotels like the Mirage and Casears Palace, so you don't have to rent a car. We did because we had young children and wanted to drive to the Grand Canyon. I would highly reccommend the Venetian!

You'd imagine for your money you'd get luxury and to be honest you do. The problem is though, the hotel isn't really exicitng. If you stayed in the MGM Grand it is exciting but then again it isn't as elegant or luxurious. I think based on that there isn't much difference in qualities however the Venetian is more expensive so i probably wouldn't go back but it is a nice hotel; i suppose though most people like peace and quiet which is what you get and this is ideal for that.

Room Tip: Higher the better!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing to stay at The Venetian | The Palazzo for your visit to Las Vegas. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay overall.

I am thrilled that you were provided unmatched guest service but am am disappointed to read that you would not return to The Venetian | The Palazzo. Since you said the Venetian atmosphere was not to your liking I want to recommend that you take time to consider our sister property The Palazzo which celebrates a modern Italian atmosphere.

Thank you again for your positive post on TripAdvisor. I look forward to welcoming you back to Las Vegas in the near future.

The Venetian Hotel is a very well maintained suite hotel located right on the famed Vegas strip. Modern, Clean, and a pleasure to be in. Courteous staff, great atmosphere and 2 kosher Coffee Bean on premises. Great bars, The bourbon room and entertainment. We saw Rock of Ages and loved it.

You won't be disappointed !
