“Not the TI of old”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

I first stayed at TI twelve years ago and have stayed there on every trip to Vegas since. We arrived around 12:30 Sunday afternoon and were pleased to see a sign stating " for our guest convenience check in is at 11am". Unfortunately when we got to the desk our suite was not ready so we were given the choice of a eighth floor suite or coming back at the regular check in time for our twenty first floor room. We chose this option as I am an extremely lite sleeper and had no desire to be on the eighth floor in a strip view room. The check in person also told us we could check in at the information/ check out desk so we wouldn't have to wait in the long lines again.
We left the hotel and returned 3pm to be informed our room still wasn't ready and once again we could have an eighth floor suite. I told the lady I was offered the same room 3 hrs earlier and still didn't want it. The expression on her face was one of annoyance a she picked up the phone to call housekeeping, she then asked us to take a seat for 5 to 10 minutes while housekeeping done a a final check...that was the last we heard from her! My husband went up and enquired on the status of the room 15 mins later only to be told by a different person it still wasn't ready. We got talking to a nice young lady behind the bell desk who realized our annoyance and called
housekeeping who told her the room would be ready in 30 mins! When we finally checked in around 4pm we stated we were player club members and didn't want the "resort fee" amenities. It seems as we booked our room through the hotel and not the casino we didn't have this option....of course we didn't! We were at the hotel 2 nights and the only resort fee amenity we used was the internet. This was available from check in at 4pm Sunday until midnight Monday, $56 plus tax for less than 48 hours of Internet......ridiculous to say the least!
On the plus side our room was clean, great bed and the staff were friendly.....that is apart from the 3 we encountered at the check in desk!
I feel the hotel has definitely slipped in the customer service department over the years and is no longer the TI of old! Our future trips to Vegas will now probably consist of finding a hotel that appreciates loyal guests instead of just taking them for granted.

Thank you for the feedback, and we sincerely regret our staff was not more accommodating in providing you with the suite above the 8th floor prior to the 3pm check-in time.

We also wanted to remind you that as a TI Players Club member, the resort fee is optional when booking your room reservations through the TI Casino Marketing department. However, there would be a separate fee if you wished to use the internet service, which is provided by an outside company.

If you prefer not to book as a TI Players Club member, then we also offer a TV Ad Special in which the resort fee is optional.

Should you provide us with another opportunity for a future stay, please contact us through TripAdvisor, and we will provide you with early as well as special invited guest check-in.

BY FAR THE BEST STAY EVER IN VEGAS! We paid $55 a nite for 3 nites for a standard room, I read on thetwentydollartrick.com if you tip the front desk a $20 along with your ID when you check in and ask for a complimentary upgrade you'd probably get one & boy did we ever! We ended up in a Double door Suite on the 24th floor with separate his & hers bathrooms, an AMAZING King Bed, Huge Flat screen TV, living room w/a queen sofa bed and she even threw in a bottle of Champange! Access to your room is awesome, just a short walk from the strip. Nice internet room & Gym that's included in the resort fee. They also threw in a ton of coupons for various things at their property. This place was amazing!!! Very clean, accomodating in every sense from the Valet to the Bar/Casino staff. Buffet was good and we got 2 for 1 passes, saw Bill Cosby perform for $50, had a ball in the Kahunaville Bar & Restaurant & Oxygen bar, food is great there. The pool is beautiful but smaller than we expected, Surprisingly enough there were plenty of chairs & room at the pool. TI sits in the heart of the strip next to all the really high end casinos so there's tons of things to see & do close by. The pirate show was awesome, don't miss it. I rate this place a 5 star, we scored big & enjoyed everything about TI, We'll definitely try to stay there again in the future.

Room Tip: Tip the front desk clerk a $20 along with your ID and Credit Card when you check in and ask for a co...

Positives:
1. Nice, spacious rooms although a bit dark.
2. Very comfortable beds.
3. Good location.

Negatives:
1. Exceptionally loud. You don't want to face the strip because you will hear the cannons (from their show) at night. If you face the pool you will hear the loud music all day long. We were on the 22nd floor and could hear the music!
2. It's more of a "party" hotel. The room next to ours decided to have a party at 2:30 in the morning. We phoned the front desk to no avail. The party kept going all night long.
3. The check in and check out services were very slow.
4. The common areas smelled of smoke.
5. Low water pressure in the showers.

I've stayed at the Venetian, Palazzo, and Bellagio. If you desire a quieter, romantic and more sophisticated atmosphere, I would recommend any one of those properties instead.

Room Tip: Don't face the strip or the pool.

We stayed in a King room with a view. Room was updated, spacious, and very clean. Housekeeping made sure the room was spotless every day -- including the toilet skink drains etc. We were at the end of the hall on 24th floor overlooking the pool and Mirage. We had a good view facing the South end of strip. The halls were clean and smoke was not a big issue in the casino and I am a non-smoker. The only issue we had was the check in on Sunday morning. It was a very long line and seemed to move extremely slow. They did add more clerks but it took us over an hour to get through. When we got up to the desk it was literally 3 minutes to check us in. I am not sure why there are such issues with other guests. Many took over 15 minutes to chek in at the desk. Maybe they could add a line for people who have booked through TI and don't need to bargain or deal for upgrades etc. We could not use the Invited guest line because it was our first stay here. Oh and the beds -- the most comfortable Hotel bed I have slept in Vegas or anywhere else.

Hotel has a great location on the strip with easy access to the mall across the street. Room was clean, comfortable and a good value for the money I paid. Casino was more active than some. Restaurants were mostly okay. I would return to this hotel IF I have to go back to Vegas.

I syated 2 nights at the TI, on my way from New York to LA. The choice was good, comparing price, location and value. The room was big, clean and comfort, even if they gave us a low floor room with absolutely no outside view. This is the price for very low room rate, 50$ plus $25 resort fee. There is a safe to use, so you can store your values inside, including your laptop. However, the service was excellent during all of our stay. The buffet breakfast was more than you need, with wide choice of food, and with the 2 for one cupone it was a steal. The casino is like all other on the strip. From the outside they are different but as soon as you walk in they are almost the same. You don't have to pay hundred of dollars more to enjoy the newest Hotels casino's. You can walk in and enjoy from what they have to offer. The pool was nice, and the night pirates show was crouded during all shows. I realy enjoyed this stay, and with this price range, i will be back. The only issue is the resort fee. If it's a must, why not add it to the room rate?

Room Tip: If the offer you the low floor room, say NO! ask for a better room.
