“Long past its best”

This is a crumbling facility that will reward you with stained carpets, broken faucets, chipped tubs and anything else tired you can imagine. Breakfast is a free for all scramble. The only thing going for it is location and it is amazing the whole site has not been razed for redevelopment. Perhaps when the recession ends. I would not stay here again.

We booked the last two days of our week with Travelodge on the Strip for the economy and location. If you want to have fun and enjoy Vegas without the cost of a casino stay, we recommend the Travelodge! If you book with the high expectations of a casino stay, you will be disappointed, but if you just want a safe, convienent place to stay while you "Vegas" then we recommend this place!

Stayed here 04/16 for 4 nights as a group of 5 in a 2 queen room. I booked the room 3.5 months ahead thru Priceline, and glad I did as the rates went up about 2 weeks later. We paid $380 for 4 nights.

Nearby landmarks: Planet Hollywood, V Theatre, Cosmopolitan, Fendi/Gucci, Aria, Paris, Ross, Marshall's, Chipotle, Earl of Sandwich, Walgreens, tattoo parlors, Bellagio, Monte Carlo

*Don't forget a cooler, cups, plastic utensils/plateware!

PROS:
Location! - Centrally located on the strip.
Parking - A parking pass is included, and you can come and go freely. There is parking next to the rooms, and behind the lodge area as well. A friend from the area visited us for the day and they gave us a pass for her. (They may have charged for the 2nd pass, though. ~$6?)
Pool area - Fairly clean, complete with palm trees, chairs and cabanas. A # of the chairs were broken, though. (There are rooms overlooking and leading into pool area (with balconies/patios). I believe these are the renovated rooms.)

CONS:
Room condition - The room was not cleaned the day we arrived. We weren't paying attention because we came in super late and passed out right away. By the light of day the beds had clearly not been made and the bathroom was dirty. When I expressed my concerns to the front desk receptionist, she was dismissive and suggested an employee bring sheets so I could make the bed myself (WHAT?!). Later that day, a terrible smell drifted into the room from the bathroom and she moved us without a fight. The 2nd room worked fine for the rest of our stay. **Also, there are no fans in the bathroom. For a group of 5 people, this was unfortunate!
Continental breakfast - If you're partying on the strip, the idea of getting up before 9 am is absurd.
Washer/dryer, microwave area - I was excited they had microwaves, but sadly the business/public room is only open until 9 pm. No late night PF Chang's leftovers for me.
Noise - our 1st room was in a high traffic area. Lots of noise. The 2nd room 226 was tucked behind a corner near the ice machine and stairs (which is NOT the majority of rooms). It was perfect. We didn't hear anything!

Overall, we enjoyed the convenient location of the Travelodge, but we'll splurge next time on better accommodations.

Room Tip: Req 1st floor if you have trouble with stairs

Staff was great, including handling a broken light fixture that I noticed upon my after midnight arrival, that was repaired the next day while I was at work there in LV. My business was at the Cosmopolitan, an easy 5 minute walk from my room.
