My wife and I went to Las Vegas and decided to stay at the Aria, based on what some friends had told us about it. Those that know me, know that I am the pickiest person and can sometimes be unreasonable in my expectations. From the time we pulled up to the valet parking until we left for the airport at the end of the week, the service was amazing. We felt like royalty the entire time. There was not a single hotel employee with a bad attitude (which is rare in most hotels). Maybe we just got lucky but I have to say that this was the most relaxing vacation that I have ever had. The line to the front desk was VERY long but moved pretty fast. The check-in clerk was Adrian and he looked visibly under the weather, but he fought through it and provided great customer service. He asked why we were there and my wife told him that it was our anniversary. He said "hang on a second" and left. When he came back, he handed us keys to a suite in the Sky Suites! We were shocked. That is only one example of how the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and top-notch.
Having read the book "Raving Fans" many times, I am a huge believer in excellent customer service. We noticed the difference when we walked the strip and went into other hotels. Most of the staff at other places were rude and obviously hated their jobs. I left a few restaurants because of lousy attitudes and service. I do not want to spend my hard-earned money on places and people like that.
The quality of the hotel is high above those around it. The rooms were very modern and comfortable. As a matter of fact, I hate all beds other than my own, and I have to say that the bed was amazing. I slept like a champ! That never happens!! My brother and his wife stayed next door at the Monte Carlo (which I thought was a pit) and they did not sleep a wink because they had a bat in their room in the middle of the night... A BAT!!! How does a bat get into a hotel room?! Anyway, I googled it and found several other instances where people had bats in their room at that hotel - probably best to stay away!
Anyway, I could go on and on, but I don't want to waste anymore of your time. if you want to relax and be pampered, go to the Aria, say hi to Adrian, and have the most amazing time possible along the strip.
