“Really Enjoyed this place!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2009

We stayed at the Orleans for 5 nights helping to celebrate my sister in law's birthday. Had a great time at the Orleans. The rooms are huge, and very comfortable. Had a nice view of the strip. The rooms were very clean, and smelled nice. The air conditioning was FANTASTIC!!! It nearly froze us out, and for me, it is usually hard to get a room cool enough. We were at the end of the hall, far away from the elevators, and it was very quiet. The shower had HOT water, and the pressure was great.
We found plenty to do while there. Two of the days, we never even left the Orleans. We enjoyed the movie theatre, and the arcade. The casino was nice, not to crowded, and certainly not too smoky. We were pretty lucky with the slots there, especially the first couple of days. The luck ran out towards the end. Oh well...Went and checked out the pool, but it was a cool autum day with the wind blowing, so too cold outside to stay, but the pool area was very nice! The bowling alley looked fun, but didn't get time to try it out! Next time.
We ate at the Orleans on several occasions. Good variety, and certainly plenty of choices that didn't break the bank! The breakfast buffet was great, and cheap! We had the Friday night seafood buffet, which was fantastic, and also the Sunday brunch. Lots of food choices, and not nearly as pricy as most of the strip hotels. Many dessert choices, and even a gelato bar included with the buffet price!! Also hit the food court, and had Baskin Robbins every night!!
Overall, a great value! The shuttle that runs to the strip is great...never waited more than 10 minutes to catch it, and a couple of the drivers were really nice. Would definately stay here again!!

While celebrating my wife's 40th birthday, we decided to stay off-strip at the Orleans Hotel. The hotel was great, very clean, the room was very nice, and overall, it was a great value over staying at a higher-priced location on the Strip. We did get a renovated non-smoking room on the 13th floor, which had a nice view of the north Strip. Room was awesome, very comfortable, and better than our own bedroom at home. The room had a king bed, a couch, a chair, great bathroom, no complaints at all. The hotel offers a shuttle to the strip, actually there are 2 busses that make a loop to the Tropicana, the Gold Coast, and the Orleans, and they follow each other about 20 minutes apart. Got a breakfast buffet every morning for $5.49 (with a club card discount), how can you beat that? There is a $5/day resort fee, but that covers use of an in-room safe (loved it), in-room coffee (used it every day), 10 minutes of Internet access in the business center and use of the fitness center. I knew it going in, no big deal. The slots seemed very tight though, and we had no luck on the tables, but that's not the hotel's fault. Overall, don't really have anything negative to say, would definitely recommend this to a friend, and would definitely stay here again.

I have stated at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at least 60 times in the last 5 years. I stay here not because I like it, I do not, but it is a good value. This is a large hotel and casino with a big gaming floor, multiple restaurants, room service, pool, gym, business center, gift shop, bowling alley, etc. It is, "off strip" meaning not in the center of the Vegas action. You get a better deal here on rooms but if you get bored with it you can't enjoy the option of walking to the next hotel like you could on strip. Walking to the main Vegas attractions is not practical, too far for many, goes though some not so nice areas, Vegas is hot in the summer and cold and windy in the winter, so you need a cab. The hotel and casino are ajacent to the Arena so very convienient if you want to see a particular show or event there. The personality of the clients in the hotel can vary significantly depending on if there is motorcycle racing, rodeo, basketball, or concert going on at the arena. The rooms are spacious with work desk and in room coffee. The maids seem to do a organized job of cleaning. All that said, THIS PLACE IS TACKY! Being a "value" hotel it attracts the Walmart group. If you want to impress your girlfriend go elsewhere.

The Orleans is truly a budget hotel off the strip. I expected more after reading positive reviews in Trip Advisor. The bargain side of the Orleans is balanced by the inconvenience of taking the shuttle to the strip whenever you want to be in the middle of the action. There's not much at the Orleans. The restaurants are okay, but not exceptional. None are a real value except the buffet. The gambling is not loose. I won nothing on the video poker or slots, but did win when I went to Harrah's and the Troipicana. The Orleans needs to make something, like payouts, exceptional to attract customers. Also, there are no shows during the week. You still have to go to the strip for entertainment. Kids have things to do if they like the pool, the bowling alley, and arcades. I would stay away from this bargain and instead look for a bargain on the strip.

The hallways and rooms had a terrible sewage smell during our family's 4 day visit. In our room there was someone else's shavings left in the sink when we checked in and when I went to dry my face with a towel, I noticed on the inside of it, there were make up stains all over it. When housekeeping cleaned our room (if that's what they call it) they didn't empty our trash. They closed the pool area at 6:30 pm on a Saturday night for a private party ( which I might add did not even use the pool). All guests pay alot of money including a $5.00 a day resort fee which is for the workout room, the pool, and other services and It's crap that paying guests can't even use the pool at a time that they obviously had a high volume of guests.

Friendly staff, clean room, nothing to complain about. We weren't in the room much, but the time we spent there was great. Very clean. The check-in staff was helpful with reccommending places to go. Would reccommend highly.

Here is a 25 year old and 27 year old Married couple's review from Scotland, UK :)
This is our second time at The Orleans (both times stayed in September) and as usual a very pleasant stay. Loved it! The rooms are big, always kept very clean and maid service is done daily and are friendly. The hotel rooms are a little dated however at £29 per night (dependant on time of year) who can complain.
The hotel has everything you need, 11 restuarants, bowling alley, cinema, arcade, good gambling tables and 3 pools to name but a few.
The pool area is good, has everything you need inlcuding big pool, baby pool and jacuzzi and the drinks are reasonably priced, throughout the hotel also.
Food good, although due to the large portions and the heat we tended to only eat two meals a day if that.
We also noticed the new carpets throughout the casino area, more staff at check in and the casino is not as smokey, Staff were always helpful and friendly.
The only downside is the location. Last year and up until the 14th september this year(luckily as we left a few days later) the free courtesy bus has changed. It used to drop you off at Bills across from the Bellagio where all the action is and was very frequent, every 10 minutes or so as there was a few of them and the bus journey took 5 minutes.
However after the 14th September this year the bus now drops you off at the Tropicana and picks you up less frequent, every half hour or so and takes alot longer, half hour or so dependant on traffic (which in vegas is busy busy 24/7). There is an upside as the Tropicana is right next to MGM, NewYork NewYork, Monte Carlo and a short walking distance to Mandalay Bay and Luxor. We done all that in one day and night. In my opinion though your better of at the Bellagio, Paris, Caesars, Flamingo, Planet Hollywood, Mirage, Treasure Island etc end. The strip is only 4 or so miles long however with traffic, lights and roadworks going on itll take you an hour and a half to get from the Mandalay Bay to Freemont Experience.
Same as last year, we tended to get the free bus to the Bellagio area and back and a taxi to the top end of the strip (south end, Mandalay Bay etc) which cost roughly $12.
There is sooo much to do in Vegas and have stayed here twice for 2 weeks both times and have still never seen everything.
What we did do is 3 shows and loads of shopping. Mystere @ Treasure Island is a must!!! It was brilliant. Also went to see K.A @ MGM which was still good but not worth the money in my opinion and went to see Steve Wyrick @ Planet Hollywood. He was good and quite funny.
All in all great value for money and cant complain really. As always loved our stay and would return to The Orleans although think we might try the strip next time however would come back!
