“Large variety of slots with newly remodeled rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2014

Newly remodeled rooms which make it clean and nice. A good place to stay for a very reasonable price. I like it because it has a large variety of poker slots. Conveniently located near the strip without the hassle of the strip.

I stayed here for one night on my last trip through town. I was not sure what to expect as this place has been around for awhile and I usually spend my time out on the Strip or downtown. I was mildly impressed. The room is spacious but dated. I was overlooking the alleyway from the garage to the check in area. From the parking garage attached to the casino, you can walk to the registration desk via the casino or walk outside through this 'alleyway.' I thought it a little strange. I was on the second floor but was not bothered by any of the traffic through it. The room and bathroom were clean though a little dated. It does not take much to keep me happy but a clean bed and bathroom. I asked about a room looking out to the strip but was told it is an extra charge. Skipped it and spent it downstairs. The casino has a movie theater and several other amenities to keep you busy but why come to Las Vegas to see a movie? I would probably stay here again when passing through. It is easy to access on Tropicana so you do not get the Strip traffic and the garage is not hidden in the back somewhere.

Room Tip: Get a room on the upper floors away from the elevator.

The Orleans was kind enough to comp my stay as I've stayed and played before. Rooms are large, quiet with sitting area. Good selection of TV channels. Hotel staff including housekeeping are friendly. I had dinner in the Japanese restaurant one night and it was very good. I did find however that many of the poker machines are a bit dated and some are slow. WiFi is free in the coffe shop only. I can understand why a casino would not want you spending more time on line but perhaps adding wifi an hour a day to your hotel stay would allow people to get caught up on email.
I like the location of this hotel, off the strip and close to I-15.

Room Tip: low level floor, elevators seemed to be faster then the line of people waiting for upper floor eleva...

Over the past several years, I have had several opportunities to stay at The Orleans and have enjoyed every minute! The staff there is friendly, the games there are awesome. This place has many amenities for the whole family! A Bowling Alley, Theatre, and Arcade for the kids, and everything else for the adults! Many different choices for meals! Good parking. What more can I say, and what more could you ask for? Give this Casino/Hotel a try, I'm sure you'll feel the same way I do.

This place is so great. the customer service is above and beyond. The rooms are great and comfortable. The bands that were playing were awesome. I just couldn't get enough. The ladies serving drinks are actually happy and seemed to all be in a good mood.

Room Tip: All are great. Never had a bad one yet

Stayed here July 24-29, 2014 for National Cheer Competition. Hotel staff is very friendly. My room was 452 facing the pool which was a nice view especially in the morning sunrise. Nice size room with king bed, sofa, desk, dresser, large TV, coffee maker, etc. Bathroom is large. Tub/shower and toilet separate from large vanity area with a hairdryer and that also served as a closet with a rod to hang clothing and a luggage rack for suitcase. It also had the iron and ironing board. The rooms do not have refrigerators but can get one for $16 for entire stay which I think is quite reasonable. They do have free wifi, but you have to log in each day which I found annoying and sometimes more than once a day. For $10/day you can upgrade it. The maid service was excellent...room always cleaned and looking great. I left the unseen maid a tip before I left. Hard to know if the same one cleans the same rooms, but whoever it was that day got a bonus.
There were tons of people during this time due to the cheerleading and also basketball tournament and I believe bowling as well. The arena is wonderful. This is the second time the national cheer competition was held here. This hotel also has a large bowling alley, several screen movie theater, arcades, restaurants. Everythng well contained here which is great for kids. They do offer free shuttle service to Ballys on the Strip every 15 minutes. My daughter is not mobile and in a wheelchair and we used the shuttle. They are very nice and helpful. I would recommend this hotel if you don't mind being off the strip, but if you don't use the shuttle and need a cab..to go downtown it was $30 each way with tip and other places on the strip will be at least $20.

Room Tip: Lobby elevators separate into two groups from the lower floors (to the left) to the higher floors (t...
