We recently made a repeat visit to The Orleans for 4 days over Thanksgiving. I noticed that there were many groups staying there. These groups were families or teams. There was a soccer and a basketball tournament in Vegas. Families were able to travel and stay with their children. There is a large pool(s) area where we got some sun. There were lots of kids there in the various pools... and, get this, even a lifeguard!
When we travel I like to stay in places that have the equivalent or better standard of facilities than we have in our home. HD tv reception is widespread now, however the tv's at the Orleans feature analog reception. A bit of an adjustment downwards.
The front desk clerks are well versed in all the hotel facilities and charges. They stand for hours on end and always seem to be pleasant. Maybe the management could consider stools for these people.
I waited in the room as the housekeeping staff cleaned our room. I did this for 2 days, with 2 different staff members. I am impressed with their thoroughness and attention to detail. They took care of all the details and they did not leave one speck of dirt, not one germ or crumb in our room. They deserve special commendation by the management.

If you want to feel like you are at home this is the palce to stay clean, offers everything no need to go to the strip when you Got It All Here At THE ORLEANS.The spa a relaxing area also, sercurity all over a very safe location. Casino very clean and everyone helpful.

My family and I didn't stay here but we did try the champagne lunch buffet and the arcade.

The buffet was good for the price. Make sure you sign up for a player's card for a discount. It was a nice change from standing in an hour plus line at other places.

The arcade was small upstairs but great if you're a kid. It's a non smoking floor so stop by if you need a break and catch a movie too!

Stayed two nights after visiting family in southern Utah. A little cautious with inexpensive rooms and off the strip-but pleasantly surprised.
Enjoyed on site bowling, movie theatre, penny slots and value priced food.
Ate at TGIF -happy hour food is great price.
Ate at courtyard cafe and had the $4.49 cheeseburger and fries special- and ate at the food court. Also ate at java cafe-don't recommend the breakfast sandwiches which were wrapped in plastic and microwaved way too long.
Rooms outdated with old furniture and stained carpet but beds comfortable. Can't complain about the price.
