“Loved it. Great location, wonderful stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

We stayed for 8 days (the maid missed us two of the days but we survived) beautiful room, friendly staff. The biggest complaint I have is the strong perfume-y smell in the lobby and casino. Between that and the smoke it kept us out of the casino.

Very nice rooms with a clean decor. I enjoyed the bedding but pillows were a bit hard but better then most hotel stays. Dining cost seem a bit high but within the market range. Casino was clean and fresh smelling. The stores were nice with the personal being personable.

Room Tip: Have mini bar rules visible not behind items that you must remove to read them.

Amazing hotel, amazing service and incredibly large rooms. Staying at the MGM was an experience by itself and reasonably priced. Centrally located to everything in the heart of downtown on the Vegas strip. Just park and walk.

This hotel went way beyond my expectations. A+++

Wonderful amenitites, clean and friendly with lots of stuff to do without ever leaving the property. The pool area, gym, shopping, gaming areas offered lots of options. The monorail is conveniently located on property, there are walking bridges to other hotel and easy driving access; all made getting around a breeze! Food was a little pricey and not exceptional but the food court offered alternatives. This is a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Our freinds suggested to stay away from rooms facing the airport to avoid a morning wake up call by...

Green Features: MGM is a leader in environment-friendly practices which speaks alot for their integrity in an area where water is so scarce.

The MGM Grand is not as new as many of the hotels on the strip in Vegas but it provides a good value for the money. We stayed here for a convention and took the monorail up to the newer area of the strip a couple of times. The MGM Grand has plenty of restaurants and shops within it to keep you occupied and the rooms were clean, well-appointed, and we had a fabulous view since we were on a high floor.

There were thousands of people there for our convention plus additional thousands for a major concert and the elevators at times were too full and you had to wait for a long time to get into an elevator to get to and from the room.

Room Tip: Choose a higher floor for a better view of the strip and the mountains beyond.

Green Features: I didn't notice any real move towards environmental friendliness. They didn't have a recycling bin in the room to separate trash from recycling. They didn't seem too concerned.

Room modern but small and a far hike. The lazy river fun and enjoyable, wish little kids only allowed at certain times as doesn't seem right people doing all the drinking and smooching around them in the water. Great eating and drinking choices. Did little gambling but some for the free drinks. LOVED the airport check in option and saw lines at hotel and so glad we did airport. Staff all very friendly. A bit of a walk as at end of strip. Hooters across street and back exit gets you monorail or bus options. Maps have small writing, bring magnifying glass as it has so much on it!

Room Tip: west tower gives back door option to strip or access to main casino/activities

The MGM Grand is an absolutely huge hotel which is frequently very busy. It has a few decent bars although they do charge you about £7 a pint and never have any drinks deals, the cocktails are equally as extortionate but i guess that's what you expect when you go to Vegas and to be honest i wasn't that bothered about paying it as it's not everyday you get to see a place like this!

The pool area is absolutely fantastic, plenty of room and beds to sunbathe on, there is music around the lazy river area and about 5 different bard to choose from with the option of service. The pool area is a must see attraction of the MGM i must say.

It is located south of the strip but you can access the monorail through the hotel which is $12 per person for a 24 hour ticket, if you want to see a lot of the strip this is ideal and service is every 4 or 5 minutes.

Overall i'd probably give the hotel a 7/10 and Vegas a 10/10. The hotel is impressive but it has hardly any decent shops and the prices of drinks is ridiculous. I'm going to go back next year but will probably not stay at the MGM again, i'll probably stay somewhere different nearer the centre of the strip such as The Aria, Caesars Palace or Bellagio.
