Took the kids to Mandalay Bay to see the shark attraction and notice a nice fountain in the lobby with a Huge beer can in it. Beautiful Casino and hotel. There is always some moron that has to be an idiot and trash things up...

I had the pleasure of staying at Mandalay Bay this past weekend! Check-in was seamless, staff were friendly, room was spacious and we were lucky to have an amazing view of the strip. The dined at Border Grill which was delicious! Bayside Buffet, Raffles and went to Mix for cocktails. Food and service were great and the prices reasonble. I originally thought the location was not as convenient as other hotels as it is at the end of the strip, however, the Tram made it easy to get to where we needed to go.

No complaints at all about this hotel, we had a great time! I'm looking forward to coming back when we can use the beach club!

Can't tell you how much I want to love this place. My expectations were high and I am frustrated and sweating the small stuff with two nights left in our stay here. My husband is attending a medical conference I am here at my leisure. Some of my complaints probably are not exclusive to Mandalay Bay ie: the exposure to cigarette smoke on every trip down to the lobby/ casino/shopping/restaurant level. If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke beware. Another caution: if you are not at least an in shape walker, ask for room near elevators. The halls are very long and the hotel huge. Being newly recovered from a broken foot i knew miles of walking on the Strip might be a strain, didn't anticipate the Hotel to be a problem. Complaints specific to the hotel upkeep: I hate dirty carpet we changed rooms because of it. Room # 2 not much better BUT the bed skirts were clean and no holes in the spread. Room #2 had slightly newer (less lumpy mattress) and at least I found one comfortable pillow. Room #2 has a urine smell in the bathroom which I will address with housekeeping today. Room #1 and 2 both have soiled and water stained, dented and wiggly lamp shades. Room #1 and room #2 have crappy televisions! Lines across the screen and terrible sound. We rented a movie (Argo) last night, had to have the volume at loudest to understand dialogue then turn it back down so not to disturb during action scenes, super annoying. Both rooms Warm and stuffy. Pack some snacks the mini bar prices outrageous, that is normal though. WIFI is sluggish, Cable TV channels not great. Think the bath soap is awful. On the positive side, the view is great. Customer service has been friendly. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom and closets generous size. Just wish the finer details were more satisfying.

Thanks for sharing the aspects of your stay. It saddens us to hear about the numerous disappointments you encountered throughout your recent stay. We sincerely regret the uncommon conditions of the rooms you were assigned. From your detailed comments, please know that the manner in which your rooms had been prepared and maintained does not reflect our high standards and attention to cleanliness detail. Thank you very much for your honest details. We will definitely share them with our Housekeeping management team. We sincerely hope to have another opportunity to welcome you back to our resort.

Kind regards,

What? The front desk says that this is "quite the way it is in Las Vegas". Needless to say, MGM owns at least four resorts in the area and I bet none of those places provide in room facilities
either. You can use one of many Coffee shops downstairs. Also, the Hotel says the rooms have a refrigerator. It does but you cannot use it for personal needs. I would need to call the front desk.
Otherwise, the rooms are fine, we have a lower cost room and it is comfortable. Our son has a large suite and it is beautiful. No coffee though.

Room Tip: If your requirements are to have use refrigeration and drink coffee first thing in the morning with...

Thanks for giving us some insight into your recent stay. We regret the disappointment you encountered upon learning personal refrigerators and coffee makers are not available as in-room amenities. Our guests may purchase coffee at either two on-property Starbucks locations or via 24-hour room service. We also do offer in-room coffee service at our THEhotel tower. We appreciate your feedback and we hope to have another opportunity to host you and your family again soon.

Kind regards,
Tosha Tanner

First let me say there is no coffee pot in the rooms. Instead you are teased with a dozen tiny bags of $10 sweets and $30 tiny bottles of alcohol on your dresser located under the tv. Hmm, perfect placement. In the mornings I would trek down to the Starbucks in the hotel about a 5min walk to the end of the casino to Mandalay Place where it attaches to Luxor. Upon ordering numerous coffees and handing them my coupon for a B1G1 Mocha, the Starbucks worker told me they weren't a Starbucks franchise and were owned by the hotel.
Smart move hotel! No Coffee for your residents, but free alcohol she. Your in a chair gambling all night...

We thank you for your post. We would like to apologize for the dissatisfaction you experienced upon learning our accommodations do not offer in-room coffee service. Please know, an in-room coffee maker is an amenity offered at THEhotel, our all suite tower. Our Mandalay guests are welcome to place an order with our Room Service department 24 hours a day for delivery of coffee to their room as an alternative, rather than visiting our Starbucks locations. Thanks for your feedback.

This hotel was a very nice surprise. It is big, very big. A lot of walking. The staff were all very nice and helpful.
We stayed for 4 days. Our room was tired but clean.
The room faced the airport. Nothing much to see out of the window.
Room service was very good.
The only problem we had was waiting for a bellman. 50 minutes, with alot of calls from us asking where they were.
Pool was closed and looked like it was being renovated.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the strip side or a low floor on the airport side.

Having stayed at many Vegas Hotels, I can honestly say that Mandalay is my favorite. The room was good sized and so clean! The staff was overly friendly and willing to accommodate. We will definitely be back!
