“Great rooms and good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013 via mobile

I came for a business trip.
The room was big and comptable, although the bed is too soft for my taste. There was a minor cleaning issues.
The hotel is not in the center of strip and got nice shops within.
Eventually it's a very nice hotel!

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with my cousin. We had a nice room with 2 queen beds, which were very comfortable. The room size is nice, it was clean, the bathroom is large with a separate tub, shower and toilet area. 2 large lighted closets, flat screen TV, Desk and chairs. We had internet service in the room as part of the daily $25.00 resort fee. The room and halls were clean and nicely decorated. The service is great in all areas of this casino/hotel. What I did not like was the price differences for each day. They ranged from $80.-$250.00 per night. There was a convention in town so the price went up, even though we were not part of the convention. So 3 night just under $500., I thought was a bit much. Yes it is a nice casino/hotel but it is way on the far end of the strip. There are no major hotels past it. You have to do alot of walking or taking taxis to get anywhere. There is a shuttle tram that takes you from Mandalay bay to Excalibur to save some distance. I played slots and did not find the machine to pay out any amount that could keep me playing even for a few hours. There was a live band in one of the bars in the evening and that was nice. So no real complaints but nothing more then you should expect on the strip. We had friends staying at Aria and that place was nice also and much closer to the middle of the strip where I believe most of the action is. Would I stay here again......Only if I got a really good price. Otherwise, look elsewhere and try to get a deal on a room. There should be something on the strip.

Room Tip: Wear comfortable shoes, even if you take taxis, you will have to walk alot in the casino to get to t...

Stayed 3 nights for my wife's birthday(12-12-12) with another couple. Great room with an exceptional price. We had a great view of Las Vegas as well. Cannot say enough about our stay... great room and room service with a helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend

I was happy with the place overall. The hotel staff were very helpful. The location at the end of the strip was good. Close enough to everything, but not too overrun. The only drawback was the Cardio room (the 'free' gym; for a real gym, you pay extra in the "Spa"), and the "Beach" was closed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Strip

Had a great stay here. Free upgrade to an amazing suite which was one of the best rooms I ever stayed in. Great room service food, pool was great fun and best in Vegas (also stayed in bellagio/mirage/golden nugget). Bit out of the way on the strip but it's well worth the taxi fare to get down to the middle of the strip where alot of the life is.

The service and the people were great. But the rooms were nasty and that reflects a lot on the hotel. You supposed to feel good when you walk into a room. This was a great room suite not just an a
ordinary room. This was a suite! So not what I expected at all. Stains on the furniture. Scratches on the table tops. I've stayed at a lot of hotels in Vegas this was by far nasty.

We stayed in Mandalay Bay for 4 nights over the Xmas period and had a great time.
From spacious, clean rooms to the lovely English breakfast in the morning, our stay at Mandalay was very comfortable and relaxing.
It was easy to move about on the strip using the free shuttle to Luxor & Excalibur.
Cons - We had to wait around an hour and a half (1.5) in queue to check in after a long journey from New York & I felt sorry for families who had travelled on direct flights from the Far East who decided to take a power nap on the floor whilst their lead traveller queued up to check in.
The only other negative incident I can think of is the lady at Concierge desk who was a bit patronising & expected you to understand directions in one go, I so wish I had made a note of her name as she would get a special mention!
Please don't let the check in queues put you off as once you get the keys, it's a very different experience.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors have an excellent view.
