We stayed at The Jockey Club for a week in October 2009. We were lucky and got a suite on the 11th floor, facing The Bellagio, so we had a great view, unlike all the people on the other side of the complex. The suites are very spacious, if a little dated, and have everything you could possibly need. The location is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful (apart from the concierge guy we spoke to). Free Internet is a nice touch too, helpful if you need to check emails, check in for flights etc. The Mini market on site is reasonably priced and stocks a good selection of basics, we used it for drinks and snacks.
The major problem the Jockey Club has, as others has said, is all the construction. The noise didn't really affect us, but we were very dissapointed that the pool area gets no sun at all now thanks to the massive buildings that have been built right behind it, and even on a hot Vegas day, the pool area can feel quite chilly. My In-laws were amazed when we showed them the pictures, as they remember the Jockey Club how it used to be before the construction started. The pool situation was overcome by asking at the front desk if there was another pool I could use to sunbathe. The Flamingo, about 10 minutes walk away lets non residents use their pool after 2pm, so I spent a couple of afternoons sunbathing over at their pool, not ideal, but better than the chilly Jockey Club pool!

It's a nice enough condo, but the ongoing construction makes it a nightmare. It is surrounded by the Cosmopolitan hotel under development and the behemoth Center City and its own "tile replacement" making for no light, no sun and lots of noise. It's a timeshare, so you have to do your own cooking, laundry, shopping, etc. The furnishings and furniture really need to be updated. There are no restaurants on site so you have to leave the premises to do everything. It is however, conveniently located, across the eight lane street from the Mile Mall, Planet Hollywood and the Paris and next door to the Belaggio. There is a local bus stop at the end of the walk, but because of the construction, the walkway in and out is redirected and covered. Trucks and construction workers are everywhere. We wanted to take a swim, and even though it was hot outside, it was relatively chilly in the pool because the covering draped over the top did not allow the sun to come in. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the hospitality office has coffee, tea, bottled water and popcorn daily until 11 pm for the guests. Because it is a time-share property, be prepared to be asked to sit in on a sales presentation (for which you will be rewarded - we got tickets for George Wallace!) I suspect when all of the construction is completed, it will be a sought after property for those who like the condo/timeshare because of its location. But until that day comes, getting in and out of the Jockey Club is very inconvenient.

We stayed a couple of nights. They have construction going on, so can be annoying. The backup beepers of the construction equipment will wake you up in the morning. The room was a nice clean one bedroom with two tv`s, full kitchen and a dinning room table. Great room for the price.

You can not beat the location of this hotel. It does not have own casino but it is really easy to get to casino across the street at planet holywood or next door at belagio. The service is nice and simple. The hotel is very clean. The suite has kitchen and adequately equipped. I like it the most because it's very quiet as soon as you get inside. It's a total change of pace. Therefore, I can get a good rest for between round of gambling.
