Picked this hotel because of the location and swimming pool and soon into the holiday realized that we made a huge mistake.
#1 First impressions, pulled up with my motorbike to the valet and the valet driver came up to us and asked if we would like to park in vip for the duration of our stay, i said sure and asked how much of a tip would be appropriate, he said 20 bucks so i gave him 30 u.s as i was very appreciative of them to watch it as i was away.3 days later (total 6 nights) i get a call from valet saying i cant keep my bike there,it needs to be moved immediately.I went down to see what this was all about and i get one of the attendants and he says " we never let motorcycles stay here u need to move it into the parkade.I explained how i gave a descent tip and was asked to keep it here, and i got a blank stare and was told i was misinformed.Long story short i spoke with the manager of the flamingo and after a run around wasnt compensated in any way.Later that night i got a call after i had moved my bike that they had a special place for the bike but i didnt bother as i was pretty upset with the whole ordeal and lack of communication of the staff.
#2 pool area very was very congested to say the least and didnt waste my time or the other 12 people didnt bother to waste there's either fighting through the crowds.

#3 Food was a rip off, nothing reasonable to eat here, everything was expensive as we were quoted buffets from 49 buck and up. (okay i did find a $2.00 HOT DOG STAND IN WILD BILLS but take your chances with that.)Margaritaville is fun to check out,the nachos are excellent for $14 and would easily fill 2 people up but other than that once or twice there is enough as it is a busy place.water is 3 bucks a bottle, and beer is 3 times the price as in a liquor store.
Waitresses were for the most part rude and overworked, and hey i tipped every drink $1.00 and still they were very hard to come buy.I even stopped gambling for 2 minutes and talked with a friend and i asked the lady for a drink and she snapped back" you need to be gambling to get a drink'! Another time i asked a diffrent girl for a drink and she snapped Give me a break my shift is over!
#3 like others have said rooms are very tired, the elevators are a nightmare as my father needed to use a cart to get around -he suffered the most waiting for a half full elevator to take him down the floors.
Line ups to check in are pathetic, this place is cheaping out so bad that the staff is run ragged and the service really suffers, even the ones who manage to put on a smile are at there seemingly wits end.

okay so you've read this, and just to make it clear i wasnt looking for freebies, but come on man were in vegas, we all spent heaps of money gambling and all that i really asked for is good service, cheap food to eat and drinks but you wont find that here, next time if that ever happens ill stay closer to fremont st. more fun and way better selection for food that is priced like it should.
best of luck!

I visited the Flamingo last week. I was there with my wife and two other couples. The overall hotel was clean. The go pool is a must for adults as there are no kids running around. We were unable to get a late checkout, but they did hold our luggage for us.

The worst part of the trip was our meal at Hamada Of Japan. I have been to Japanese restaurants in many states. Hamada is one of the most expensive. They charge an extra $5.00 for fried rice, and dont include a shrimp appetizer. Our chef did not put on a show at all, he tossed one egg and missed and then just cooked the meal. He dropped a lemon cut side down on the counter near one of the customers. He proceeded to pick the lemon up and squeeze the juice on to the fish.We then got our bill to find that they added an 18% tip to the meal as there were 6 of us. We had a few issues with this. We all had separate checks and they sat another family at the table with us. We complained to the management about the poor service and included tip. All she could say was "I am so sorry". I would suggest that if you are looking for a good meal that you skip this restaurant.

It's not the Bellagio, but it suit us just fine-I'd rather blow my money at the tables! We had gambled at the Flamingo on past trips. We love the casino. But this was our first stay at the hotel. We were not disappointed. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The service is good. The value is excellent. The location, close to so many other great casinos, can't be beat. The pools and the gardens are absolutely fabulous.

My husband were married in Vegas on June 26th. We booked our 5-day stay at the Flamingo through NWA vacations back in March. We were coordinating rooms to accomodate about 22 people including ourselves and our 5 kids. After booking, we kept checking TripAdvisor reviews for the Flamingo, and became a bit concerned about our stay because of all the negative reviews we were seeing.

In an effort to put our worries to rest and assure our guests everything would go just fine, I emailed the hotel guest services in advance of our trip, and communicated my concerns. I don't know if this made a difference, but our stay and that of our guests was fantastic.

The hotel was jam packed and booked solid. Per our request, they managed to get most of our guests in rooms close to each other (all on the same floor, many just doors apart). This had to be a challenge due to the fact our guests all arrived at different times and on different days. We all booked 'standard' rooms in spite of the negative reviews, and all of us were very pleased with the accomodations. Yes, things are a bit dated on the standard floors of the hotel, but to us, that just adds to the charm of the classic Las Vegas experience. If you want puff and fluff - go to the Venetian or the Bellagio or the Palms. The rooms and customer service exceeded our expectations. For example, our room was missing a remote control for the TV. I called guest services, and within 5 minutes two different people arrived at the door to fix the problem. another of our guests had an issue with their air conditioning, again - within a few mintues, a serviceman showed up to fix the issue.

Our only complaint would be that of the pool area. The pool itself was beautiful and kept miraculously clean and refreshing under the circumstances. The temperature in Vegas during our stay hovered around 105 degrees during the day - reaching a high of 112. We had several kids with us so we planned on making very good use of the pool to relax and keep cool. The service out there was good - but the problem was the THOUSANDS of people they allow in the area to use the pool facility. Huge drawback when hotel guests can't find pool space at their own hotel. The Flamingo shouldn't allow guests in the pool area who are not staying at the Flamingo. It was too crowded, and in that kind of heat, people get real crabby real quick. I do have to say that in spite of the crowds, the wait staff and hotel staff did a pretty good job of maintaining their cool and taking care of those of us who appreciated them!

Overall - I would definitely take advantage of the reasonable rates and very fun atmosphere of the Flamingo.
