Great location, nice clean rooms with cool views! Nice casino, friendly knowledge staff. Lots of different machines to choose from. The 21 and over pool was nice, clean, and very very fun. Would stay again

When asked for a price on a day bed I was told $300 but the price was more when charged too my card. The amount of 54.00 was added on top of that. When asked what the extra amount was for they told me taxes & gratuity. Ok, why gratuity on a bed when I have to pay gratuity for a waitress also. $300 was outrages in the first place. Then after several days there observing how people would just come & lay on the beds without paying for them & when I informed them not happy I had to pay & others just can come along & sit/lay on them without paying was very frustrating. After bringing it to their attention nothing was done. So my suggestion is if anyone wants to use the beds make sure you wait to see if anyone is using them & if not just go ahead & take one because they don't check to see if you have paid for them & save yourself the cost of $354 (Saturday's rate).

has to be the worse casino on the strip.staff are very rude and most look like they want to be somewhere else, but by far the bar staff treat you like your rubbish if you dont look like a highroller, your chances of being served depends if anyone else is waiting and what they look like.during my only visit a friend and me were playing the blackjack at the bar between us, when we tried to order a drink from the rudest barman ive ever met ,you would think the free drinks came out of his wages,we were told we both had to be sitting at a game to get free drinks(only place on the strip i found this) and if that wasnt enough he kept watching us make sure we were pressing the buttons often enough when we tried to order a second drink we were told we couldnt have them unless we bet bigger.so we went to a better casino next door harrahs

We continue to choose the Flamingo on our yearly trip to Las Vegas. It is in the perfect location - literally in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip - isn't too big that you will get lost (like at Caesar's) big big enough that there are things to do. They also have a fabulous Adult Only Pool - which as a couple getting away on a kid-free vacation we really appreciate! Every year when we arrive and come up the escalator we breathe in that same familiar smell of Coconut Smoke and know that we are home for the next 3 days! Staff is always friendly, rooms are a crazy good deal for what you get and you just can't beat the location. We will continue to be supporters of the Flamingo!

Room Tip: Spend the extra few dollars and get a Go Luxury Room with strip view!

Besides the location, the Flamingo has little to offer. The parking lot is devoted mostly to valet. Finding a spot is like winning the lottery. $20 /hr for late check out. The pool closes at 6 pm while it is still 100 degrees out side. Bathrooms in the rooms are not updated, the furniture it beat up and the air conditioning sounds like a motor home revving up. The buffet was closed Mon.- Thurs. Check in was slow and they have the nerve to charge $50 for booking with them directly. Resort fees are another issue. For the money, I'd stay off the strip and let them eat their fees. I am not returning.

We booked our three nights at the Flamingo as part of a flight/hotel package deal through Allegiant. The price was great, and the location is perfect, right on the centre of the strip. The pool is awesome, with both a family side and a 21+ side which serves drinks (albeit pricey ones!). The condition of the hotel, however, isn't marvelous. The hallways (walls, carpets especially) and elevators need a good clean, and several of the buttons in most of the elevators are missing. We had one funny conversation with a couple in the elevator as they realized they couldn't select their floor in the elevator car we were in... the button was missing.

The view from our 28th floor room was spectacular, however. This hotel will realize its potential with overdue renovations.

The pool was great. The rest of the hotel was mediocre at best. It is run down and has low ceilings which is reflective of the age. My room was on the 21 floor and the carpets are worn and have been shampooed numerous times. None of the lamps worked only the overhead one. The hairdryer only had one temperature (cool) and the only way to turn it off was to unplug it. Only one day did I manage get get hot water for a shower. Other days it was just luke warm and one day it was ice cold. The fire alarm went off one morning at 7 a.m. not something they can control. The worst part was the elevators. They didn't work most of the time and on the weekend we spent over 15 minutes trying to get one that worked and that actually had room for us. It was so frustrating trying to go up and down. When I asked them about it I simply got a shrug. We were also hassled every day to sign up for the time shares. They have their desk right by the elevators so every time you go to your room or come down they bother you. Not one of the best hotels on the strip but the pool is great.
