“Ok - Love the history..”

Please allow PLENTY of time for check in! For that matter, allow plenty of time for check out! Very disappointed that I didn't learn that you can check out on-line so we got up extra early to battle the line ups. Note - the WIFI is excellent.
The room(s) had character and were generally clean. Very old and as clean as you could get ancient fixtures. The wall are paper thin, so heard everything from anyone on either side so make sure you are placed beside people with similar sleeping habits :)
Caution - the elevators have serious issues. We were forced to take the stairs on a few occasionss and that was nasty!! Not a recommended view for children.
The casino was great though and top class as well as the pool area. Too bad pool closes so early (6pm). Really good food in the area!!
Loved the hotel for its history and location was great!! Would recommend it if you do your homework in advance.

was not a good stay. Room booked wasn't what we got. Could hear elevator all night from room. Staff was not helpful. Don't recommend At all to anyone. Could have had a better stay somewhere else for the same price

Offers reasonable rooms. Food is a little pricey and bar drinks are a little high.
Location is great and is within walking distance to many things to do and see. Parking is overcrowded. Would recommend valet parking.

Booked our room at the flaming through a deal with our airline for a week long stay. Picked due to central location being mid-strip and price. When we showed up to check in late at night, the check in line was VERY long and our room was no longer reserved for us. Registration person at the desk wasn't very friendly and we needed to demand that we get the level of room we paid for, that it be non smoking and that we didn't need to change rooms. Ended up talking to a manger and being upgraded to a suite for our entire stay...the only problem is that our suite was possible the only room that hadn't been remodeled so we still had old carpet, decor, etc. Bathroom was a bit gross looking with stained grout but while outdated the room was pretty clean and the housekeeping staff was great throughout our stay. Elevator lobby tile floors on our floor were being redone during our stay as well, so we couldn't get an elevator to our room for 2 days, had to take elevators on the other side of the building and find our way around. Coffee shop was good. Buffet not worth it. Carlos and Charlie's was ok, food and drinks at margaritaville are much better. All around, for a central strip location making everything a close walk, I would stay at the Flamingo again for the price and convenience.

With the new LINQ Entertainment area the Flamingo is right in the middle of all the action and Best value on the strip! The huge pool makes it a great summer spot, but make sure you get down early since the pool chairs go fast. But don't worry, the chair turnover rate is pretty fast and the best spot in the summer heat is to just hang In the Pool! We actually skipped the chairs & set up our towels poolside and stayed in the pool. With 100'+ temps it made that an easy choice for me! Be aware like most Vegas pools it closes early, 6:00 PM, so plan accordingly.

We came to Vegas for my sister's bachelorette weekend and the Flamingo seemed like a great mix of Classic Vegas with updated amenities...allegedly. Sad to say, this place needs to be completely gutted, including getting rid of some of the staff. Most of our experience was not entirely pleasant.

My first impression after checking in was the arduous process of trying to get up to our room. As some other reviewers photos show, the elevators have hand written floor numbers (looks like Wite Out to me), buttons missing, sticky floors...and that's if you can get the bank of elevators to work at all. We waited fifteen minutes for an elevator at one point. The hallway to our room had carpet that was dirty, buckling and taped down with duct tape in spots.

Our room was not satisfactory to put it mildly. The bathroom door was bashed in, wallpaper peeling in the bathroom, stains on the floor. There were no blankets and no towels, and when we called to have some brought up, the guy made me carry them in. There are no refrigerators, minibar, etc. so be prepared. The blackout shades did not close all the way, so good luck sleeping in. Hands down, the worst part of our room was a HORRIFIC stench coming from the bathroom sink. It was a mix of sewer smell, vomit, and something rotting.

Our friends stayed in a neighboring room that was listed as a suite with two queen beds. They received two full beds and the room was missing a couch! How can a hotel room be missing a couch?! When they called the front desk to complain, the "Front Desk Manager" was completely rude, and told her that the entire hotel has only 6 rooms with two queen beds. When she asked to speak to another manager, she was rebuffed and told that the Front Desk Manager was the most senior person she could speak to. The rude women finally told my friend she could have $20 and "Would that be enough?"

That aside, the pool and buffet were good values with good service. The staff at the taxi stand were awesome. Casino was meh. I would not stay at the Flamingo again. Like others have said, the staff doesn't seem to care that this place is completely falling apart. There are so many hotels in Vegas available at this price point, don't take your chances.
