“Go room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We visited in June loved the flamingo amazing room but we did upgrade to a go room with a strip view didn't see any other rooms .
I loved the pool area as well had no trouble getting a sunbed and we didn't go down until 11.30 !
We also went to legends show which was amazing had no problems with any lifts never waited more than a minute for one , I really couldn't understand the bad reviews I would stay here again .
The only bad things It took us half hour to check in at midnight with only 1 person in front of us so I did see really long lines which I imagined took ages ,we used quick check out on the day we left which was easy !
When we arrived and checked in they said the maid was cleaning are room this was midnight but we did upgrade on arrival so we didn't mind they said 20 min -half hour wait and we could collect are room key after trying to get the 3 times coz the maid was still cleaning they moved room so we eventually got in our room at 2 am which was really annoying !
Go else where to play in casino and slots it's not very good in flamingo and they don't like giving free drinks like other places just give them to you with no fuss !

Booked to stay for 12 days at the flamingo, booked a double deluxe room with premier holidays. Also as it was a special holiday I emailed hotel direct to ask for a nice view room, as well as a room with a soft bed due to medical problems. On arrival at 4 in the afternoon, joined a queue at reception to check in which was about 50'plus people deep, when finally got to front told receptionist it was our 25thbweddingvanniversary and that I had requested a good view room, only to be told we had the room what was booked, and if we wanted to upgrade we could to an executive room and should have cost 25 dollars a night but we could have it for 14 dollars a night, as we was there for 12 days we decided can to do this, but the room was on the 28th floor and all you got was a fridge and a coffee making for the extra, so went back to reception and told them I wanted can my original room, was given a room on the 14th floor which I would not call a deluxe, it was bog standard, bed was rock hard, basin had a massive crack through it and the ceiling in the shower over the bath was black due to paint flaking off, back to reception again to be told that they had nothing else, then they said they had one on the 4th floor, took keys to look and this was a joke you looked out on the roof with all the loud nosey air conditioning units, so back to reception again and said I am not having that room to be told that they had nothing else, but would have something in a couple of days but again wanted more money, so ended can up staying where we was on the 14th floor. Finally got back to room to call for luggage to be sent up to be told it would be an hour and half wait, so back down again to get own bags, each time waiting 10-20 minutes for a lift, finally got unpacked and went out by 8.30 that evening. Visited the buffet which was very expensive. So many problems, only good thing was the night time staff at the x bar. A big thank you to Brian, roger, Ken and nutty hai who made our nights when getting back to the hotel for a night cap, lovely people especially Brian even exchanged details to keep in touch. The adult pool was very loud and so packed weekends you could just about get in pool to cool your self. You had to queue from 8 in the morning to be able to get a bed at 9 when the pools opened but after doing this a couple of days realised no need to queue just go the the kids pool and you could walk down a flight of stairs into the adult pool and no queueing, felt sorry for people that was queueing and when they finally got in no beds left anyway. No food allowed in, as they wanted you buying from the bar which was very pricey, only good thing was that you could get free cold water. I truly hope that the hotel gives the feedback to the staff of the x bar as they was the only good thing about this hotel. Got looked out of room after 7 days so went to reception to get cards re programmed only to be told need proof of id explained could not get into room where passport was, so had to go all the way back to room which was no close, wait 15 minutes for lifts then wait 10 minutes for security guard to turn up to let me in room show him passport to proof who I was, then back to reception with passport to proof who I was, then back again all the way through the hotel, wait for lifts again to take passport back, you are just a number in this hotel, no customer service at all

Been staying there for the last 8 years- has steadily gotten worse. If you enjoy going to the pool like we do, then prepare to wait a minimum 2 hours in line to get a lounge chair because when the gates open its a foot race to get the best ones. Management has replaced the pool side chairs with day beds that were mostly empty. Chairs are arranged that they touch each other and if you move them a security guard will move them back. I spoke to the pool manager and he told me there are other pools in the area if this one was not to our liking. The property is old and has not been maintained-the air conditioning in our room never got cold and it had a damp musty smell. My girlfriend stepped on the elevator and it literally dropped one foot with her and other guests on it. We tried to check out and there is only one line for check in/out and it was a madhouse. Tried to check out via on screen t.v. in our room -nope- was after 12p. We ended up moving our stuff to the Orleans and had to come back early Saturday morning before our flight to finally check out. Plus, it was the only property we did not win at. They do comp you after you gamble or purchase-but after they add on their resort fee of $20.00 plus- there is no "deal" for you. It is clear to us that their overwhelming greed has ruined it for us, and from what I have read many other guests as well.

The Flamingo has really turned into a dump, or possibly it just becomes more noticeable as casinos around it become much nicer. Don't bother unless the pool draws you there. Even the remodeled rooms are poor quality.

Was recently here for a reunion. Check in lines were long but staff friendly when you finally made it to the front. Elevators were a nightmare. Always packed except at 7 am. The carpet in the hallway of our room was so old it was rippled and filthy. A candy wrapper was on the floor in the hallway the entire 4 days. A bobby pin was on my bathroom floor when I moved in and was still there the day we moved out. Friends were several doors down from us and could tell people were smoking in the room next door even though we were on a no-smoking floor. This is by far the worst hotel I've stayed in in Vegas. The breakfast buffet was good.

The Flamingo is right on the Strip, which makes it easy access to everything. We did not have any issues with checking in or out, as we did not do it during peak hours. The room as spacious and clean and they accommodated our request to have a combined room, which was great!
The only issues were that we were only allowed to connect 2 devices per room on the WiFi and that the elevators were quite slow. It took up to 20 minutes one time to get an elevator! Other than that, we didn't spend much time in the hotel. It was mostly just for a space to sleep.

Room Tip: Call to get what you want, they accommodate your requests

Green Features: They recycle and they track energy use. They also have water saving fixtures in the shower.

So much to do, don't want to ever go to bed. Can't wait to come back. Going down town is a must and going to the damn. We also went to the Pawn Stars and it was great. The best breakfast in Las Vegas is the Egg and I, this was one of the best trips we have ever taken.

Room Tip: Great, I had a big room with a great view.
