“Better than expected!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

I was nervous about starting at the Flamingo, after reading lots of recent negative reviews. I was mostly worried about the elevators, after getting the impression that very few worked.

I had nothing to worry about! Sure, there were two times we had to wait a few minutes (five, max), but you have to keep in mind it is a busy hotel.

Our room was great. Good space, very clean, great, big windows. I would have preferred if it included a coffee maker, but that's a small complaint.

I also saw reviews saying that the hotel is run-down and old. That's true, to some extent. The bathroom was dated and the hallway carpets were clearly old/worn.

I think the most important part of booking at the Flamingo is being honest about what you want. If you want a new, luxurious hotel, it isn't for you. If, however, you want a safe, clean, inexpensive room in an unbeatable location, it's exactly what you need.

I'm happy I didn't let the bad reviews scare me away.

So, I stayed @ the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel. And it was horrible. The entire hotel quite frankly is in desperate need of a RENOVATION.
But, especially the rooms. The rooms are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay outdated (but I'm sure they're aware of this). The bathroom looked (especially the cabinets) and was dirty.
Everything else in the room was dusty, peeling, old.
The housekeeper had a very bad habit of just walking in the room without knocking.
Oh wait! Let me clear. Walking in the room WHILE knocking. Not waiting for a response. The General Manager should be ASHAMED to be the GM of the hotel.

On a positive note. The price was right. Couldn't beat it. HOWEVER, you get what you pay for. I guess, I should've kept that in mind.
I truly felt like I was @ a motel 8.

Flamingo has an amazing pool area. The food choices and atmosphere are average. At least One of the towers (the one I stayed in), is very outdated, made my sinuses flare up. Used to have exciting night life of music and dancers every so often up front entrance, looks like that has been removed. Gaming floor nothing special, average. The outdoors of Flamingo (Pool and chapel areas) are Fantastic though!

Room Tip: Need to UPDATE the rooms! This is Mid Strip Vegas... Need to be up to date!!
