“Amenities Lacking”

My expectations are somewhat low when traveling. However, when I first arrived at this property it was a nightmare. The valet line at 7 PM on a Friday were long - so why not self-park? It took almost a hour to find a parking space because of the limited spaces. When we checked-in, it took thirty minutes on the elevator to travel 15 floors. In fact, it appeared that only two elevators were working that weekend. Trying to stay positive I overlooked these flaws. Our room was decent with a great view of the Strip. Knowing that the check out line was going to be outrageous on a Sunday, I opted for the in-room video check-out. That was broken. Not a problem, I will go down to check-out. I took me quite some time to get down to the lobby, because guess what? The elevator stopped at every floor down. Okay, now I am going to say something at the front desk. Couldn't do that. The check out line was outrageous! Just dropped my keys in the express box and left. The pool was closed to a private event and was still charged for the resort fee. Truly disappointed with this property.

Room Tip: Simply ask the front desk.

Green Features: They had a few notes in the room about their environmentally-friendly practice of laundry and lights which was appreciated.

The Flamingo hotel is a great spot. The staff is friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a coffee maker and refrigerator. The view of the strip was excellent. It was a busy week with the fight in town but we were still treated wonderfully. I would recommend this hotel to all. There is a pool and a wildlife habitat also.

The room was small and we were way down at the end of the hall, no view of the strip, but we were only there one night, Nice place to stay. We would stay here again on a future trip to Las Vegas if we find a good Total rewards offer.

The family pool was lovely. The chapel was a beautiful place to have a wedding. The garden stunning With the cascading waterfalls as a backdrop for wedding photos. The salon downstairs did a wonderful job with hair and makeup. It was a great time had by all.

We wanted to stay at the Flamingo having never been to Vegas before because of its location and its history. The location was excellent and we had a view of it from our room - a Fab King Room. We arrived early and paid the $20 to check in early - have never had to do that anywhere else in the world before, but it was worth it to us. The room was fine, though we were in a room that was a long walk from the elevator - it would be worth getting one closer if you plan to go to and from your room a lot during your stay. The bed was great - very comfy - and the curtains were basically blackout curtains, so we slept really, really well. The room was fine in all respects.

We tried the pool once, and it was an experience, but not one I necessarily need to repeat - the pool was so full that there were people lying side-by-side on the concrete, and as all the chairs were full. It seemed like you would have to get down there pretty early to get a spot.

The only really annoying thing was the promotions desk set up at the bottom of the elevators - they constantly tried to pull us into their promotions. We make the rookie mistake of asking them for directions to the box office on our first night to buy tickets for a show, and they proceeded to tell us that they were running a promotion and we could have free tickets to that show because of our age (late 20s)... after 20 minutes of back and forth we realised we could only have those tickets if we agreed to get on a bus the next day to go and visit some new hotel. All we wanted to do was to buy tickets the show, which we eventually did when they eventually just told us where the box office was.

We used the gym every day and it was a solid hotel gym with basic cardio machines and a weights rack, which was included as part of the resort fee you have to pay. I paid an extra $10 to use the spa which is attached to the gym so I could get ready to go out after my workout - totally worth it! They have a great steam room, massage showers and all the bits and pieces - hairspray, straighteners, etc - you might need to get ready to go out.

We got what we went there for - a Vegas experience - and we had a great time overall.

Got to see plenty of elevator problems in 3 nights' stay. One call station on 1st floor was falling off its wall mounts; many burned out floor lights; one would not shut until 6 or so door closure attempts with loud "thud" each time, floor 19 call button didn't work on one unit.

Tub faucet continuously leaked a 1/8" stream of water when shut off (room 2519) in midst of historic drought in region.

Casino ash trays go unemptied leaving a terrible stench in the place like a bar on Sunday morning. Other casinos seem to dispel the smoke better, but it is overwhelming at Flamingo

They won't grant you your reserved room until 4pm unless you pay an extra expediting fee. That's just gouging....

Green Features: It's a heavy smoking environment that reaks of old cigarrettes.
