Amazing gaming experience, good room experience, TERRIBLE room bathrooms. Mold and mildew seems to be the name of their game here. The location on the strip is hard to beat, especially with the LINQ right there.

Fri Feb 20th we checked in at the Flamingo soon as you walk in you know it's one of the older hotels on the strip. Very nice check in and room was ready before 3 that day. If your expecting a room with top notch things your wrong but it is a clean. Just to let you know it is out dated and in need of renolds. The staff are great and there for you when you need something and that was a great thing so if you dont mind the old style then go there you will like it. You get what you pay for but like i said what helps is the staff there great. There casino was great and again staff fantastic. The stoes down stairs have some great pricing and a great seletion. For the price you pay it is a place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for room facing the strip

My fiancée and I stayed at the Flamingo in February for a weekend trip. We came for a weekend away, and booked here. We are recently engaged and thought that a weekend out of town would be nice. Instead it was a mess.

We arrived to a line that took 30 minutes to get through to check in. We were nice and the lady who checked us in was nice, and that is where it ended. We arrived to our room to discover that it was tiny. To get to our room, we had to take questionable elevators all weekend. They would either erase the rooms on the way up with every stop, ceilings would jiggle, buttons were missing, and the worst was the elevator that would drop about 4 inches each time it stopped and opened the door as people were exiting.

Our room was not much better after the scary ride on the elevators. The space for the door to open into the bathroom barely passed the toilet, so there was no space for 2 people in the bathroom. On top of it, the paint was chipped, and the toilet paper holder was a tiny holder that looked like an after thought. There was even dust on the top of the toilet paper.

The first night was filled with noises from the ice machine, and bags rolling across the tile floors that ran next to and above our room. We had a non smoking room and within one day, the room was filled with the smell of smoke so bad that we were getting headaches from the smell. We requested our room to be moved which they said that they could not do. We had to wait until our last night there to move rooms. In the meantime they sent someone up to "deodorize" our room, which only eliminated the smell long enough for us to fall asleep. It then smelled of smoke again all the second day of our trip.

Switching rooms required us to wait in a line to switch out key cards which was filled with other customers changing rooms for various reasons. No matter how many times we had told them that I would be in the room, they never put my name on the reservation so I had to give a list of background information to get anything done without my fiancée. Upon changing we were put in a better sized room, but it still was not up to quality. Above the shower was a door that looked like someone could access an attic with, holes next to it that had drainage pipes, mold, and the other vents were missing covers.

To check out, we called down to the bell desk to request someone to help with all of our luggage. The lady on the phone seemed to be upset that I was even making such a request and told me "sure we will have someone come up" and then hung up. There was no sense of urgency. After waiting 25 minutes for someone to help, and knowing that we had to get on the road we simply loaded our luggage up ourselves and hauled it down the hallways. It took 20 minutes to be able to find an elevator that had enough space for the two of us and our luggage and had to pass on at least 4 elevators that went by. When we finally got down to the valet desk, luckily they had some urgency and brought our car fairly quickly. The whole time we were tipping people, yet very few people seemed to have any sense of urgency or customer service.

They then charged 2 room "security" fees to my fiancée's card for each room we checked into, when we had to check into the second for the ability to sleep in an actual "non-smoking" room. They also failed to mention the "resort fee" which is ridiculous because there is nothing resort like about the hotel. There are much better spots on the strip to stay. I wish I had the foresight to take photos.

They maybe "renovating" the property, but needless to say we will never stay here again.

Room Tip: Garden rooms are quieter, 109 on any floor is the size of a closet and backs up to the ice machine.

Rooms need cleaning up, the elevators look terrible. Lobby is under construction perhaps will be better in the future. Horrible food, and unhappy wait staff, store clerks were mostly friendly but not overall.

Room Tip: Even the suites look tired

The service we received was timely and friendly in all aspects of our stay. The room was always cleaned when requested and full of supplies we required daily. Staff were always in the area if we required assistance or extra supplies.

We stayed in the Go Lux Strip Room and was placed right next to Drai's nightclub where the music was LOUD. We sprung for the Go Luxury Room Strip View, but there is no difference in the Go Lux and Go Deluxe, so save your money. Paradise Buffet is average at best (I'm surprised I'm saying that considering I'm NOT a picky person by any stretch). My husband and I were trapped in elevator and had to be rescued. After the jolt we experienced, twice, and had to call to be rescued, my nerves had the best of me. It was not a good experience. The location along with price has gotten me to stay here several times. However, this trip will be our last at Flamingo.
