The Flamingo is a great place to stay being central to everything in Vegas. We usually stay here every time we visit. It's not a swanky, posh hotel, but we are not in the room very much anyway. We'll worth the charge.

Booked a go double room for 3 nights initially did a heap of research but was worried as were traveling with out 2 children (9 & 7) and reviews were mixed on here. got a great price 80USD a night through hotels.com. As our plans changed we decided to go to vegas early so booked a room for the 1st of Jan on hotels ,com as it was cheaper than going direct. so we now had two bookings which was fine we were happy to check out and check back in. The queue to check in was massive but was a busy time of year we were on holiday so in no rush but it moved really quickly and the girl that served us spent a while with us sorting out booking to only have the one so we didn't need to check out etc she was fabulous and the room was sensational was facing the strip primo view. big comfortable room with all facilities tv in bathroom which kids loved clean and modern. quiet which was fabulous as I am a light sleeper did not hear a thing. we did not go to Vegas to gamble but more to shows and experience the city - loved it and this was the ideal located Hotel as short work through casino to strip. heaps of restaurants café. across from Caesars Palace shopping. loved it and we will definitely go back . When we booked there was the same room description but 10 darer we had no idea what difference was but the Go room was definitely the right pick. Lovely friendly staff. Starbucks in foyer. everything you need. the pools looked great but obviously wrong season for swimming. Thanks Flamingo loved our stay and vegas is one cool place.

Room Tip: go for the GO Deluxe strip view

Rooms need upgrading and freshening Up. The elevators were downright SCARY! Some shook so bad it felt as though they would crash at any second and others were missing buttons you needed to get to your floor or lobby.

comfortable rooms. nothing fancy. felt comfortable gambling there. staff was very friendly.

we had complimentary rooms, so I don't want to complain, but...the carpet in the hallway leading to our room was buckled and needs to be repaired.

Stayed here for a business meeting in January which is not the best time to visit. Many things were closed such as several restaurants and the outdoor pools. Not that I would have same in the pool since it was tool cold but the restaurants being closed meant a decrease in choices. My room had a terrific view on the 25th floor and the room was modern. Everything was clean but there were signs of wear. Noise carried into the room easily. There were no hooks near the shower to hang the towels and not have to walk dripping across the bathroom. Be warned that there are forced resort fees but the room was inexpensive enough I wasn't too upset. I do wish all the casinos would ban smoking so nonsmokers would be forced breathe it in trying to get to the streets or restaurants. However, I did finally find the Habitat Elevators which let me avoid walking through the smoke. Compared to the other big hotel complexes, the Flamingo is not as spectacular but it was overall clean comfortable.

Room Tip: Great views at higher levels.

Upon my arrivale, being a non smoker, the first thing that I could smell was cigarettes all throughout the lobby which was just horrible!

Finally once we got the key to our room, we go to the elevators, and they are so old, they sound like they are going to break any second, and on all of the elevators, there is at least one button that is broken. The roof on the elevators rattle and every now and then there was a bang against the doors while going up or down.

When we got to our room, everything seemed great, but we found many problems with the room, the lamp beside the bed was in a state that was dangerous to use, and the handle on the bathroom door is on the edge of breaking! The beds were very uncomfortable, the springs were broken and I kept rolling into the middle of the bed, the first morning I woke up with a sore back!
The walls are paper thin, I could hear conversations that were happening next door as if they were next to me.
The curtains and carpet was stained and the room smelt.

I'm not happy with the stay and I won't be recommending it to anyone!

Room Tip: Do your research on which hotel would be best for you.
