The rooms were clean but the hallways were terrible. The carpeting was lumpy and very, very dirty.n I complained about this before, but yet nothing has been done and my wife almost fell in the hallway.

This year we had a family vacation in Vegas. Our family had 3 rooms. This was the longest, most cumbersome check-in experience I have ever had. The 'deposit' was exhorbitant. I have never even heard of a credit card deposit for a previous Vegas trip and this is the second property where I have stayed.

We walked in & were arrested by a smell. It was an air freshener trying to mask stench and failing.

We took photos! We did. First nasty thing was the door. I can't tell whether there was water damage or not but it was weird.

Next, we had a double. We picked the visibly bed. How could we tell it was cleaner? The previous guest's hair wasn't sprinkled all over the bed spread.

Nature called. There were dark dirty but fresh-ish water stains and missing tiles. Some of the tiles were leaned against the baseboard. That meant it was time to check out & book elsewhere.

My husband ran downstairs to take care of that. No one came to clean. No new room or upgrade. Honestly, we'd have been happy with a clean room.

We love our internet. Wifi is free for one device only. Please be forewarned.

We somehow managed to stay the first night. I spoke with one of the housekeepers. Allegedly they had nearly no cleaning supplies. It seems like they had no sheets either.

I cannot recommend this place. Maybe if you are using your room as more of a locker it is ok. Probably stay here only if your room is free.

The hotel is in a good location. Although since the Linq-Passage is open there are no quiet rooms anymore. When you happen to be in Las Vegas on a weekend you hear all the bar noise and music. The rooms were spacious and clean.

The central location of the Flamingo is its greatest asset. Casino host staff leave something to be desired. Really enjoyed the new Margaritaville casino section although the music was cranked up higher than our liking.
When will non-smokers get a break!!!!

Room Tip: Mini suite overlooking the strip had a great view and was quiet given the noise below...

The flamingo poker room is one the best in Las Vegas. I have been playing poker for many years and it's the only poker room I play at. The go rooms are great. Everyone is very friendly the food is very good. Try Charlie's and Carlos great food.

Room Tip: The go room is the best or the go room mini suite.

Room was available when we arrived at 1:00 p.m., but had to pay an extra $20 if we wanted to check in early. They also wanted an extra $10 booking change fee because I had to correct the booking that was made incorrectly. Eventually they waived that. When checking out, they didn't automatically waive the $13 wifi fee, even tho we only connected one device. How often do people just pay the bill and not check? Wifi signal was very poor. If they are going to charge an additional $13 for more than one device, the signal should be a hell of a lot better than it is!
The first room we were given did not have a shower curtain or curb in the shower because it was a wheel chair accessible room. The bathroom drains were at the high points, and consequently the water did not drain. After the shower you were standing in a bathroom with water all over the floor.
Bathroom doors are sliding glass doors which do not close or seal properly, which is a poor design if the intent is privacy in a bathroom!?

Elevator maintenance appears to be non existent, and/or maintenance management oversight is poor, because the elevators are slow, call buttons do not work properly, and in some cases the elevators didn't work at all. You get the feeling of a poorly maintained and managed hotel.
Would not recommend. You can get better value elsewhere.

We checked our bags as our rooms were not ready. When we got to our room and closed the door the first thing I saw was a cockroach crawling up the wall. I would have requested a new room but we had an adjoining room with our sons and we would have had to be on separate floors.

Our luggage arrived with one of the locks missing which I had put on when we checked it with the bellman.

The water in the bathtub ran constantly, there was no bedspread or duvet cover, sink had rust stains and other than the solid surface floor it was all a little run down. Hall carpets were very dirty and did lay flat - needed restretching (likely not possible). I went in the hall one night to take a call and found they were damp up and down the hall in front of our rooms.

Yes the location is great but that is it. Would not stay or recommend it to anyone. I will, also never visit Begas again given the amount of smoke amongst other things.

Room Tip: None unless there are better rooms then the ones we had.

Green Features: Did not seem to have any in place especially for bottles, cups around lobby.
