“It was disgusting!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

For a business meeting I had to stay at the Flamingo. It was simply disgusting. I had to change rooms 3 times and pay more to get something that wasn't filthy and even dangerous. Cracked windows, broken headboards with chards of wood, filthy and dark bathrooms and cock roaches - and that was only my room and some of my colleagues. My skin was crawling. The chairs in the public spaces were broken and/or ripped. The smoke was pervasive through every inch. I couldn't wait to get out. And while I know it's not considered a luxury hotel, this was not just crummy, it was gross.

Green Features: Not a one. I hope I didn't get lung cancer taking in all the smoke 24/7.

We stayed here because this trip was last minute and we were budgeting. It is one of the older, cheaper hotels so we were not expecting much. We were wrong! It was very nice, the improvements and renovations they have made are great. Our room was very clean and nice. The only downside was our window was facing the construction going on next door. The pool was packed most of the time but it was a fun atmosphere! Great strip location, close to everything.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not have a construction view.

You cannot beat the location. On the strip next to Bally's, Paris, and the big wheel Linq and monorail. Across the street from Caesar's palace and Bellagio. However the convenience of location is overshadowed by the "has been" ambiance of the hotel and amenities. The layout of the hotel is very confusing and just getting out to the street can be a challenge. The dark room was huge but spartan in its furnishing. No chairs, just one desk chair and an uncomfortable "lounge?" Air conditioner was very noisy. Security is apparently optional as someone (guest?) with a key to our room tried to enter early in the night and was only prevented by the chain we had fastened. Food at the buffet was poor quality, limited choices, matched by poor service and a high price tag (could not compare at all to casinos in Louisiana). We have had better free breakfasts at LQ or Choice Hotels.
WiFi might as well be absent. It is so slow as to be useless. Using our own hot spot proved not much better due to assumed overcrowding on the cellular systems in the area. There was a "surprise charge" of $22 on checkout for "Facilities Use Fee" added to our bill. Allegedly to cover use of pool, workout room, wi-fi, etc - none of which we used. Checking the fine print on our reservation at Booking.com this obscure charge would have been enough to turn us away had we seen it before booking. This kind of cheap trick seemed to typify the ambiance of staying there - not what you thought you were getting for the price.

Long lines everywhere. To the buffet to pay, getting seated at the buffet (though 60-70% tables vacant), lines for coffee (not even coffee in the room or complimentary coffee anywhere!), lines at the convenience store, lines for tickets, lines for everything. The concept of customer service is lost here.

Will not stay here again. It clearly is not as good as it once was, and it does not appear to be on the road to recovery.

Room Tip: Tip to choose a good room? Book it somewhere else, not the Flamingo.

Stayed 6 nights in Flamingo, great location on the strip and handy for the Monorail. Loved the gardens and the pool area had spaces to suit everyone. Great view of High roller.
Room was fine - clean and beds oh so comfortable. No problems checking in or checking out - perhaps we were lucky with our times. Slight issue with safe on day 2 but this was resolved quickly with no inconvenience.
Lively hotel and plenty going on - also felt safe to wander about no matter the time of day/night. Flamingos and pelicans in the garden area are a great touch and well worth making time to watch feeding time (: Garden area kept immaculate and well maintained. Lovely area to sit and enjoy the sunshine if you don't feel like going to the pool.
Would definitely return for good value and location.

Room Tip: Check out your room and ask for upgrade if not happy

Green Features: Liked the education re the wildlife and also ability to control air conditioning in the rooms

Arrived here on a Sunday morning, for $20 got an early check in, preferred that , that way we could at least drop bags off before heading out. Check in was pretty simple, since I Paid everything off before leaving the house. Was told at check in that I would be able to get the $50 a night charge (which was put on debit card) back in cash at check out, cause it takes longer to be put back on card. When I checked out, had some OLD CRABBY lady who gave me a hard time. She said you get it back the way you gave it. I told her what I was told, she didnt care. I was just pissed off that I was told one thing at check in, then one thing at check out,m and that old lady was miserable at her job. Other then that, had a go luxury strip view, it was a clean comfortable room. Was on tghe 24th floor, soda machines didnt work on the 23 rd, 24th, or the 25th floors, dont know why, but, I would stay again, and suggest this to anyone.

Room Tip: go luxury w a strip few

Stayed at Flamingo hotel, room faced the new high roller Ferris wheel and beautiful pools.and grounds. Good place to play table games, low limits, and great dealers. Best value on the strip, close to many other casinos and shopping.

I came to Vegas with one of my girlfriends to explore the city, night life especially. First of all we were in line waiting to check in for almost 40 minutes. We arrive to our floor and the layout was very confusing, felt like we were going through a maze to find our room #. The room was very outdated and very dim lighting! It was hard to get ready for a night out. I do have at&t and received barely any cell phone service.

The location is somewhat on the strip but still a good cab ride away from the other popular hotels. We did have to pay at least $10 a cab ride to get anywhere. Food selection at the hotel is very scarce, all you have is a large fast food court. The pool area however is very nice! Very resort like. Customer service was great.
