Housekeeping did not show up unless requested. Didn't get room requested. Long walk/wait for elevators. Filthy hallways.
Front desk manager and housekeeping manager. A big fail. Pool is definitely not for children. They give you a very small area for children. Not the main pool.
Right now it is 9AM and their is construction pounding above my room.

Room Tip: Stay at Paris or Ballys

Great centrally located property on the strip.
Good service! All amenities are close by. Clean and bright rooms. This plave reminded us of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.
Overall Great!!!

Room Tip: Eventually to become "more" of a 60's theme. This place reminded us of Frank Sinatra...

Just returned from the Flamingo. Usually stay at the Mirage but decided to try this hotel. Pool is great, satff also is friendly and hotel has a great location. We were put in the old part of the hotel by the Steak restaurant. The carpet in the hallways has bubbled and is dangerous, not to mention old and dirty. The room wasn't much better, very old and needs updating badly. The elevators were awful as well. One night they didn't work for about 5 hours and when they finally got them "fixed" they stopped on every floor or the doors wouldn't open. Also Wyndham staff trying to sell you time share outside the elevators in the lobby was annoying. Our friends were in the remodeled part of the hotel and what a difference, marble shower, tv in the bathroom mirror, new furniture. Our room was definitely Circus Circus quality. This hotel needs to spend some money and redo the older rooms and take care of those death trap elevators! Also we had to pay for wifi, should be free.

Get to the pool at least 1 hour prior to opening if you want a chair. Drinks at the bars are extremely expensive for the quality. Paid $12 bucks for a 4 oz drink with hardly any liquor in it. Stay away from the Buffet, not a very good selection.
Food dried out and all tasted bland.

Room Tip: Make sure you don't get an adjoining room. You can hear every word from next door as if you'...

The Flamingo is in the heart of the strip which is the perfect location. The proximity to the Linq and all the excitement there is terrific. However, the condition of the hotel has deteriorated; maybe due to the money being spent in renovating other properties (The Linq, The Cromwell). Perhaps when those projects are finished The Flamingo will be revitalized.

This is our second visit to the Flamingo....we had a pleasant stay last time we stayed and we are always drawn by the history and significance of the Flamingo. We were very very disappointed by the experience this time and will not be returning. We tried to check in at 3.40 and although they have a check in time of 4pm thought they may be able to grant 20 mins but instead told come back in 20 mins or pay an additional charge! I found this crazy as we had just stood in the slowest check in queue in all our experience traveling only to be told go away & do it all over!! When we arrived in the room it was dark & gloomy with windows overlooking service platform with staff right outside smoking! The hallways were filthy with carpet ripped & tired & room service trolleys & half eaten pizzas outside rooms. To top off our poor stay we had breakfast included and when we checked in we were told we had to go to a particular restaurant at breakfast, charge to room & everything up to a certain value was included. When we went to check out we were hit with a huge bill for resort fees that we hadn't even used and also breakfast! When I quizzed this I was told I should've gone to a different restaurant even though I was told on check in and also written on my room card holder. This really made me angry as the breakfast in the place we were told to go to had little choice & was generally disgusting, yet we went twice due to being told this was where we had to go! When we quizzed it we were looked at like Thieves & although eventually sorted was really angry about the whole situation an later how it was handled! A very poor hotel in need of some serious managerial changes! This place has a serious advantage over the other casinos in Vegas due to its historical significance in Vegas yet they seem to be missing a trick & are over shadowed by most other hotel/casinos. Terrible stay & will definitely not return even if a travelodge is the only alternative!

Room Tip: Go somewhere else. There are better hotels for less money.

We stayed in Las Vegas twice in September of 2014 - once at the Flamingo and once at the Aria. (We use Vegas as a landing/leaving base for trips to Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, etc..) While Aria is decidedly more upper scale, we enjoyed our upgraded suite at the Flamingo more than our King room at the Aria, and the Flamingo was less expensive. When we pass through Vegas again, we'll choose the Flamingo. Great location. We could watch the Bellagio fountains from our room! And, if you want something a little more sophisticated, just skip across the street to the Cromwell for drinks in their lounge. Or jump across to Caesar's or just down the street to the Venetian for high end shopping. The Flamingo also offers a some practical elements like a UPS shipping center - which we used several times to ship purchases home. Flamingo may not be the flashiest place on the strip, but it really is the center of the Vegas strip, and it is a nice, comfortable place to stay.

Room Tip: We purchased and advance upgrade and were very pleased with the spaciousness.
