“Flamingo suites are very nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed in Las Vegas twice in September of 2014 - once at the Flamingo and once at the Aria. (We use Vegas as a landing/leaving base for trips to Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, etc..) While Aria is decidedly more upper scale, we enjoyed our upgraded suite at the Flamingo more than our King room at the Aria, and the Flamingo was less expensive. When we pass through Vegas again, we'll choose the Flamingo. Great location. We could watch the Bellagio fountains from our room! And, if you want something a little more sophisticated, just skip across the street to the Cromwell for drinks in their lounge. Or jump across to Caesar's or just down the street to the Venetian for high end shopping. The Flamingo also offers a some practical elements like a UPS shipping center - which we used several times to ship purchases home. Flamingo may not be the flashiest place on the strip, but it really is the center of the Vegas strip, and it is a nice, comfortable place to stay.

Room Tip: We purchased and advance upgrade and were very pleased with the spaciousness.

Good location, within walking distance of everything on the strip. Hotel room works for passing out in. The pool area was awesome for sitting in and starting to fire up again from the night before. All in all was a good hotel.

Terrible service, got stuck in a lift for 45 minutes nobody came to help us out. Air con was leaking in the room. Cleaner didn't bother coming for 3 days and instead of refunding the $300 dollar deposit they charged another 80 and I still haven't got any of it back. Service was terrible

Hotel is getting run down and no one seems to be able to fix whatever problem arises. When you spend 3 hours checking in because of a variety of issues, it makes you wonder if the once great Flamingo is the next to be imploded.

On our recent trip to Vegas we stayed at the Flamingo Resort. The hotel is old and it showed. To start, the carpets in the halls were dirty, worn thru in spots and patched with duct tape, and were loose enough that someone could have easily tripped and fell. The room was for the most part clean but there was mold in the shower, build-up soap scum on the bathroom faucet, and the toilet ran on about every half hour. The lamp and alarm clock next to the bed did not work because the plug in the wall that they were usually plugged into did not work, had no cover plate on it and was so loose in the wall you could even push the plug in. The drawers in the dresser were so worn you had to yank on the drawer just to get it open. The last straw was that we asked about transportation to the airport we were told that they provided a shuttle but did not say anything about a fee. There was no mention of a fee on any signage directing you to or where you boarded the shuttle and the driver did not mention a fee. We have stayed at a lot of hotels and all of them have provided free shuttle service to the airport or around town for guests of their hotel. When we get to the airport we are told that we owed a $7 fee a piece, which is not that bad but it would have been nice if that was stated beforehand. Not a great experience and our next time in Vegas we will be staying elsewhere.

Room Tip: Pay the extra money and stay at another hotel on the strip.

We were there Sept. 14-18th. Love the slots and being in the centre of the strip. We love the Johnny Rocket's Groupons that are always available so don't forget to buy them before you go! We don't like to have housekeeping come when we're there in case things go "missing' and the easily respect that...we just track a housekeeper down in the hall for fresh towels. Best place to start partying is at the Harrah's piano bar....then on to Carnival! We always have a blast at the Flamingo and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Michael Jackson is our favourite game! LOL
Check in online to save yourself time....line ups are LONG!!!!!! Early Check in has never been an issue either.
