“Not terrible, but left a lot to be desired”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I checked out of the a Flamingo today. For the money, this hotel really misses the mark. I stay in Las Vegas 2-3 times a year and try to stay at a new hotel at least once per year. The Flamingo has a lot going for it. It's central strip location is awesome! It's even easy to navigate their casino. The pool area is large. That said, it is a seriously neglected property. I stayed in a Go Luxury room which was already showing signs of wear. The windows were severely dirty as were spots on the walls. We had a fantastic strip view, but there was a price to that: The Cromwell's roof top club was extremely loud on Friday/Saturday nights. My friend who had a 27th floor room with a view directly overlooking the nightclub could sign along to the songs from her room!

Most distressing were the elevators. Poorly maintained doesn't even begin to describe them. There was one that would occasionally freeze, the power flickering off and then come back on for no apparent reason. It was obvious by the shrieking/grinding noises coming from the elevators, smears over the doors (never cleaned in the 5 days we were there) that no real care was given for guest comfort in that regard.

Would I stay there again? No. However, the staff is friendly, the casino is fun, and it was a decent sports book. And the location is an A+. For the cost, IMO, you can do better.

Room Tip: Do the online check-in if it's offered. The in person check-in line was over an hour long when w...

This is our first time in Las Vegas and we chose the Flamingo hotel as the location appeared to be in the middle of the strip. Well first the wait to check in was about 45 minutes, which seems to long considering there was about 15 people ahead of us. When we finally got to the counter to check in, no welcome, no smile, just a person obviously wanting to leave for the day. I asked if she had some information regarding coupons, discounts, took her 5 minutes to look for this and ended up bringing me a printed sheet of paper to look at. Service is DREADFULL, DO NOT stay here, if you need to pay a little more do it, but forget the FLAMINGO hotel. We bought a go deluxe room. There is nothing deluxe about the room and the extra money that we paid for it.. Lights were not working, only 1 set of towels, view was that of a side street, and we were told this was a fully renovated room, when I asked to speak to the manager, I got Ryan, and he was no help at all, unpleasant, uncaring, an actually negative reflection of this hotel, Their Human Resources department should be more careful in who they hire for customer facing positions especially management roles.

Room Tip: My Tip is to stay away from this hotel.

Flamingo is a great hotel they treat you with class just like the old Las Vegas!
The Garden Buffet is great and well worth the money, check it out. The pool is awesome it has sections for children and adults.

Room Tip: Meet and greet your house maid and they will take care of you and treat you like royalty :)

The Flamingo is fairly run down and could do with a bit of work. Our room was shabby and the casino smells. Some of the rooms my friends had been done up recently and were better. By all accounts a lot of the other hotels on the strip are nicer. It's in a good location though and we had a good time nonetheless.

the flamingo adult pool is always a blast...and the casino floor has several tables and dollar limits available with a great staff and dealers.

only problem is the rooms are over priced, too small and out dated...if they renovated the rooms this would be my hotel of choice every visit

Room Tip: update the rooms---expand room size---

This is the second time we stayed here. The 'luxury Go' rooms are significantly nicer than the basic rooms. Last time I was really disgusted by how dirty and broken the bathroom was in the basic room. In the upgraded room we stayed in this time, I was really happy. We also stayed in a room that overlooked the Strip this time, and it was worth the few extra dollars.
One thing to note: don't get the airport shuttle from the hotel. We paid $14 for it (2people), and when it took twice as long as they said to turn up, we have up waiting and got a taxi. The taxi costed $14.10 before tip.

Stayed at the Flamingo Go room for 2 nights at the end of August .....the check in line was HUGE...luckily, I checked in on line prior to arriving and was able to circumvent the main check in line and go to a separate line marked Keys only(?)...there were only 2 people ahead of me....the GO room was modern looking, flat screen TV, nice music system, mini fridge, updated bathroom with side jet shower(the shower floor can be slippery).... the only downer was the mattress seemed old (had a depressed section) and the shower seemed to leak if the side jets were turned on....otherwise, the room and location of the hotel and pool area was very nice...
