“Excellent if you upgrade”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stayed for 5 nights in Aug, had 5 yr old with us. Originally had a Fab room, but wasn't that impressed, decor is outdated & a bit dingy. Noisy as near to a generator. Hallways look horrible. Upgraded to a Go Delux room and it's like you are staying in a different hotel, modern hallways, nice modern rooms, with nice bathroom & very spacious.

I was worried hotel would be noisy from ready past reviews, but have to say it was really quiet, had a strip view which was fantastic, everything we wanted for our first time here.

Pool ok with a family as you are restricted to the small pool, but would come back & only stay in the Delux rooms.

Room Tip: Upgrade, you get what you pay for, ask for higher room

Very rude and on unorganized staff. Lots of issues would never stay at the flamingo ever again. Very disappointed! Long waits for reservation and food. Sold our room to someone else during our stay. Fire alarms going off every night!!

Although Flamingo is located in the center of the heart of Las Vegas, it's age and lack of "personal hygiene" is starting to show.

My dad and I traveled there the weekend before labor day. The room we were given was 25107.... right next to an ice machine and vending machines. Not good. We dropped our luggage off and headed for the tables. About 3 hours later we came back and the whole room smelled like marijuana. I let the front desk know but they wanted us to just switch rooms. Not investigate the problem. We left again and came back. For the most part the smell had subsided. We ended up staying out all night.

Came back to the room around 9 am. It sounded as if someone was grinding away concrete with a saw on our wall. Found out, they were doing that 3 stories up!!! Now, we were cranky, tired and possibly hung over... the LAST thing you want to hear is that! I called the front desk, and they said, "You shouldn't be able to hear that,... it is happening on the 28th floor!" I offered for the rep to come up personally but she declined. Once again, they offered a different room which we took. Down on the 16th floor.... YOU COULD STILL HEAR THE GRINDING!

Cracks, lights not working, TV's missing remotes. Just general upkeep does not seem to be paid attention to. It's sad, but it's true. I think that I will most likely end up at another CE property on the next go around.

Room Tip: Stay away from elevator shafts and vending areas as there is little insulation.

Green Features: It seems like they are trying to be more ecofriendly with code green.. It is noticeable to me.

Let me preface this review with the fact we are loyal Caesars Total Rewards members for over 20 years. We are not "whales" & rarely gamble more than a few hundred dollars during any visit....but we visit Vegas
several times a year (from NC)..& always stay at The Flamingo, Paris, Harrahs, Caesars, or Planet Hollywood. The only other place we stay is The Orleans (off strip, but we get comp rooms). Yes, The Flamingo needs a make over....they have started. New carpeting, some paint, upgrade the elevators, etc. All would be nice. So, whether you pay for the rooms or not is up to you. Join the rewards program...play a little consistently...& you will receive free room offers. If you are an infrequent visitor & are looking for luxury, be prepared to spend big bucks. No matter what property you stay at. But a little positive about The Flamingo...#1 is location....#2 is variety (from shows to dining to gaming) and it is all good. The staff has always been helpful. There are beautiful grounds to relax in...real flamingos & other exotic birds...great pools....slots here are no different here than any other casino..."TIGHT"...table games are exactly like any other casino...you put your $$$ down & take your chances....on our last stay, we were upgraded to a two room..two bath suite...that overlooked the Bellagio fountains....had discounted tickets to their Legends show & Bugsys Cabaret....so, IMO...The Flamingo is a quality property.

The renovated Flamingo GO rooms are really nice. Very nice TV's, Nice Separate tower and Tub, with a small TV in the mirror in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable with a great view of the pool and the new wheel! Easy check in and easy Check out using email! Only problems were slow elevators and if you have a vehicle, parking is limited.

Room Tip: We stayed in the south tower on the 23rd floor and had a great view of the swimming pool and then ne...

I loved the location of this hotel, having taken a group of advertisers with me, while I was still working, years ago. The hotel was under renovation at THAT TIME and I would imagine it's even classier now than it was back then.
Central location on the Strip, great food, room service and everything else that helps make your Las Vegas vacation complete.

Room Tip: who cares about the room. It's the action you are there for!

Our group of 15 stayed at the Flamingo from Aug 21-24th for a bachelorette and bachelor party. Upon arrival we were able to upgrade most of our rooms to suites for minimal extra costs. The one suite, which was huge, was not renovated and was on the smoking floor, but was still clean. The rest of the rooms we had booked were all updated and renobvated and were really nice! Yes the carpets in the halls are old and dirty, but really, you are only walking on them to get to your room and back. And if you're spending most of your time in your room while you're in Vegas, you have chosen the wrong place to go on vacation.
The pool is amazing! If you do want a chair however, make sure you line up at 7:30am for when it opens at 8, at least on the Fri and Sat. We were not able to find a chair either day. But if you look around there are some benches around, just not too close to the pool. The drinks were the average price of anywhere else on the strip, but they are strong!! Rico at the one pool bar made sure the drinks were about 3/4 alcohol and a little splash of juice on top...they were awesome!
The staff was very friendly. The only bad experience we had was on checkout we had to store our bags as we had a late flight. When retrieving our bags to go to the airport, the baggage assistant Justin was extremely rude to our group. I placed a formal complaint with Management about this. With a group of 15 we did have a lot of bags, but I would still expect friendly service, but instead we were treated as though we had completely inconvenienced him (even though it was his job).
You cannot beat the location of this hotel for the price. Right across from Caesars/Bellagio/Mirage, without paying the high prices.
Overall we had a great stay here!

Room Tip: Ask for an updated room. To upgrade to the executive suites on the top floor was only an extra $15...
