“VEGAS Vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

In June we visited the Flamingo and had a Great Time. The FAB Rom was Very Good (Bathroom still needs to be updated) and had a great View of the Strip. Check in was Very Good (make sure you are a Total Rewards Member) it was only about 10 minutes. The Hotel was very busy even though we were there Monday thru Wednesday but no problems. We had a Great Breakfest at Margaritaville and enjoyed the Casino. The Flamingo's Location is Fantastic and the Staff were Great. We are booked back in October to enjoy the Jimmy Buffett Concert.

The real reason we picked the Flamingo Hotel to stay in for 2 nights is because we had tickets to a show at the Mirage across the street and we love Margaritaville located in the Flamingo.

The Hotel is packed to the hilt with a much younger crowd. That means lots of rowdy drunk 21+ folks. We arrived late at 1am in the morning because of a delayed flight and the line to check in was a 45 minute wait with a very very long line and few employees managing the check-in desk.

We were given a suite that over looked the huge outdoor space that includes the gigantic pool. It is quite impressive, but once it is opened in the morning to the Hotel guests, it was so crowded that you could not even see the water that was hidden by the hundreds and hundreds of bodies floating and playing in it. That was a little to gross for our liking. You guess why....

Now, the Hotel had advertised that they had remodeled the rooms, but the furniture was old and the carpet stained in unusual locations and in different colors. I will leave that to your imagination.

For a lousy extra $80 (total for the 2 nightawe could have and should have stayed at the Mirage where everything is clean and the guests a bit more responsible.

I don't know what you like, but I perfer clean, comfortable and a bit of quiet space. That you will not find at the Flamingo.

Although the casino and hotel itself is in need of some renovations, the rooms are actually pretty good. Flat screen tvs, tv in bathroom and a great location. Would definitely stay there again!

recently spent 5 days here celebrating my birthday with my wife. the plan was to hang by the pool, eat, drink and see some shows. choose this location due to reviews applauding pool and location. location is great. bills right next door has some entertainment, reasonable drinks and and half price ticket location. pool area is nice and large but CROWDED and loud. not sure if its because this is summer break, but loud nonstop pounding music got old quick and we always were elbow to elbow in or out of the pool. good luck finding a lounge. you have a better chance at the slots! rooms were ok. we were "slightly" upgraded to a larger room, except half of this large room was EMPTY except for a single lounge/bench? i did get the high floor i requested (28) hoping for a view and quiet. view was ok, although directly below demolition work on the north side of the building woke us early each morning. DONT take a room on the north (imperial palace) side. maybe this has become a common theme in vegas now, but try to get off the main floor elevator without being accosted by marketing people. first few times you just shrug it off, but by day 2 you want to hip check these people back over their counters. would i stay here again. maybe if i weren't looking to kick back and relax and was part of the 24 hr party crowd. if not there are plenty other alternatives.

We stayed at this hotel the end of June 2012. I would recomment this hotel for its location, cleanliness, and close to alot of things to do. I have stayed at 5 different hotels in Vegas and this one was my favorite mainly for the location. We stayed in a basic room and didn't have a view but we didn't mind and didn't spend very much time in our room anyway. I would stay at this hotel again.

The Flamingo was a very busy hotel we were there for six days and left as Memorial Weekend started, the room costs were great. Our room was really good, comfortable beds, the bathroom looked a little tired but everything was clean and that was the main thing. If anyone was outside our door in the hallway we could hear word for word what people were saying which gave us some entertainment as people were making their way to their rooms after a night out.

We were on the 8th floor with a view out over the strip and could watch the water show at the Bellagio. We had the monorail at the back of the resort which took us from one end of the strip to the other.

My only complaint was we weren't given any information relating to the functions and facilities of the hotel, sure they had their own tv channel but we didn't want to waste time watching tv to find out about the hotel.

There were a couple of places to eat but I was looking forward to the buffet style eating that I had experienced at another hotel previously, but the Flamingo didn't have that so we had to settle on either hamburgers, pizza, subway or chinese which after a few days you didn't want. The food at the coffee shops was nice and had a reasonably healthy variety to choose from.

Other than that I was happy with my stay there and have recommended the Flamingo to friends and I would be happy to stay there again.

I was so pleased with this hotel from the moment I checked in until the day I left! My room was excellent, clean & comfortable. The staff were helpful & knowledgeable, from housekeeping to the concierge desk. For a first time visit, I had a memorable trip and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I've already mentioned it to Anthony Melchiorri of Travel channel's "Hotel Impossible", so keep up your good work & I'll see you again!

Room Tip: Don't worry about your view; most of your trip will be spent outside your room! And don't b...
