“Excellent Place to stay on the strip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

I stayed at the Circus Circus Hotel on the weekend of 5/4/11 to 5/7/11. I should mention that I have stayed at this hotel on at least 3 prior occassions. When we first arrived, it took us about 10 minutes to find a parking, but thats only because we preffered to park in the structure closest to the registration desk. they have 2 parking structures and some lot parking that are quicker to find a parking as long as you dont mind doing a little walking. Check in was quick and easy and our room was in the casino tower, which is the tower closest to the actual strip. Our room was really nice, a/c. 32' tv (regular, not flatscreen at the time) small but nice bathroom, comfortable beds, very clean look, prompt maid service, window view was only looking across the street at the Riviera, but that was fine with us. One of the main reasons we stayed here was because my younger brothers, aged 18 & 20 at the time, were with us and we wanted to spend time playing video games together since they were too young to gamble. So we spend alot of time at the Midway playing the various video games, which was a blast. I spent very little time at the slots, so I can't really say much about them. The buffet was really good, nice selection of italian, mexican, chinese and other dishes, good variety and worth the money and not expensive like most other places on the strip. All and all I must say I enjoyed my stay here, and can't wait to do so again. The only gripe I have about CC is that thier rates seemed to increase more, and even with the half off rates it mentions now and then on its website, it is still move expensive than other nearby strip hotels, such as the Riviera and the Stratosphere. The pricing is still much better then the main hotels at ground zero, such as MGM Grand, Ceasars, etc. I love this hotel, and I do consider a mainstay and at the top of my list whenever Im in Vegas.

Room Tip: If you want to be closest to the Casino, Buffett, Shops then request a room within the "Casino...

We stayed for 2 weeks at the circus circus. We got a good price for 2 weeks and to be truthful we slepted very well every night. The rooms were very dated, paint peeling etc. The food at the buffet was appalling. Thank god for indegestion tablets. The entrance to the hotel is very dirty and dated, kids everywhere. holes in the carpets smoke smells, etc. All in all we would never ever stay again.

It is not by the main attractions but is next to a bus service which is excellent! The hotel rooms were very large and clean , staff were helpfull we would stop here again if we had to but would like to try one of the newere hotels on the strip. The fun park and circus acts are great free entertainment for children.the hotel staff are really helpful and will point you in the right direction.

this hotel is a plan B hotel. if you cannot find anything better. or are in a low cost budget with kids. Unfortunately this was not my case when the travel agency picked it up for me.
the PROS It is a Family Hotel as the Circus theme is nice. there are shows each 15 minutes. has a great indoor amusement park. an arcade. an unexpensive Mc Donalds and Krispy Cream inside the complex. a very small pool and whirlpool. The room is as good as any one in the strip. but with the same noise isolation problem as all. you hear everything from room to room and tub water piepe.
the CONS too noisy and crouded. far away from the convention center and from the strip. I discovered the strip around the third day. And away from the monorail. so is hard to move around.

We booked here because it appeared to be the most kid friendly place in Vegas. We usually stay at the other end of the strip.
Upon arriving the valet was quick to respond. Once inside, that was another story. We waited in the longest check in line I have ever seen at a hotel. It did move some what quickly, but we were there for over 1/2 an hour waiting. The girl checking us in was very nice though.
We paid the extra $$ to stay in the Casino Tower. We tried to book a suite but there were none available while we were there. The room was big enough for the 3 of us, my husband, teen and myself. It was fairly up to date and modern and clean. No complaints there.
The food choices are very limited as far as I am concerned. We didn't try the buffet as I feel it is over priced for buffet food. Do not eat at the Blue Iguana, gross and long wait. We did try the pizza place inside the casino and the pizza was wonderful. Otherwise, we ate at other locations. The shopping is very, very limited. All cheesy "made in China" stuff. Nothing to really purchase other than junk.
We didn't bother with the pools. They were a complete let down. Better pools to be found at a Motel 6. Not at all what was expecting at a resort.
Our kid did enjoy the game room upstairs a lot, but not the Adventure Dome. Not enough to do in the Adventure Dome to make the price worth it.
Overall, I wouldn't discourage people from staying there if they are on a budget, but we won't stay there again mainly for the location. It is just too far away from everything and the area is an area I wouldn't go out at night in.

Room Tip: Book the Casino Tower if you are able to spend the extra $$.

This hotel is really showing its age. My family of 4 stayed in the west wing. The room was relatively spacious and we were up on a high floor. But we had asked for a non smoking room, and the room clearly had been occupied previously by smokers. The sheets and pillows and towels stank of smoke and there were holes in the blanket which looked like they were made with a cigarette. We stayed there as we heard that this was the most child friendly hotel due to the adventuredrome and Midway - but these are really dated and seemed very tired. The games are not the best value either. We were only there for 1 night, and the rate was cheaper compared to the other hotels on the strip. But if you're staying more than a night, it may be worth it to spend a bit more to have the extra comfort further up the strip, as well as the convenience of being in the middle of the strip, rather than further away which is where the hotel is located.
