“Fantastic Vegas Holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013 via mobile

There were 12 of us staying in multiple bedrooms in the Octavious Tower. Check-in was a bit slow and we had to wait until 6pm to get entry to our rooms.
The rooms were large and of excellent quality. Large size shower but the pressure was very basic.
The beds in my opinion were awesome with high quality linen and pillows. Great mattress!
Guest services were always very helpful and our requests were carried out quickly and efficiently. (Turndown, extra towels etc)

Not having free WI-Fi was a real negative for our group. There are some restaurants in the Forum shopping center that have wifi but should be standard across the resort for residents.

Overall as a group of 12 I highly reccomend Caesars we got well looked after. Thank you

Caesars is a classic, and sometimes gets away with stupid room rates for a property that doesn't really justify it. However, if you can get a decent rate then its still the place to stay. They've massively improved the dining options and the centre strip location makes it a perfect choice for 1st time Vegas visitors. Again though - don't overpay. There are great hotels (Venetian, Wynn, Encore, Mirage) in equally good locations that deliver the same thing (or better) often for lower rates. A room in the newer towers of Augustus or Octavius would get my votes.

Also has an amazing spa - although some new lighting in the mens sauna/steam room make it more like an interrogation room rather than a relaxing environment.

We showed up ahead of the check-in time (which is unusually late, just like in every hotel in Vegas), filled-in the paperwork. The hotel has a very unusual policy of charging $200 for security deposit. Since the room was charged with a debit card, we had to give them a credit card number.

Afterwards, we had to fill-in the paperwork a second time for a reason I fail to understand, and then, a week after we left, we realized our friends at Caesars Palace charged both cards for the room!!

We had to call their customer service for about one hour before the situation got figured out. Two weeks after our stay there, we are still waiting for our refund.

We stayed at others hotels in Vegas and we did not encounter any difficulties.

This situation created so much hassle that I would not go back to this hotel.

We had a great stay here. We arrived earlier than check-in time and the room wasn't ready, but they gave us a hotel card in case we wanted to go to the pool and there was a place to leave our suitcases. We stayed in Augustus Tower. (Augustus and Octavius have a separate check in area so there were no lines) The room was really nice and big. The bathroom was nice but starting to look a little outdated. It was still very clean and big though. If you can get a hotel package with internet included, definitely do that. It's $14.99/24 hours in your room, or $24.99/24 hours property wide. You can always find free wifi at certain stores in the Forum Shops though if you are desperate. We had a great time at Caesar's and would definitely stay here again.

Had a better stay at the Stratosphere the year before! Getting checked in by someone who appeared to hate his job, no smile, no, we are glad you are here.. hey just got off a plane and out of a cab, I just wanted someone to smile! Room A/C was loud and sounded like it was going to blow up, could not turn it past low.. sat in casino, playing slots... just to get a drink or bottle of water, we would have to get up and go find a waitress.. 1 drink by the pool was either $18 or $25, didn't matter what you wanted! overall.. we started referring to it as a shi& hole with marble floors! Will never stay there again.
We ended up leaving the property every day after the first, had better luck everywhere else we went and better service.

Room Tip: DO NOT book a room in the Roman tower.. only place in Vegas that has not been re-done in the last 15...

Green Features: Never saw a single recycle bin in the entire hotel! Every bottle or can, or food scraps we had, was put in a normal garbage can.

If you are using a debit card instead of a credit card don't bother staying here. We have been traveling using a debit card for about 5 years. At check in we were told they would be charging the usual $200 for incidentals. We tried to charge drinks at the pool to our room but the charge was denied. After 2 trips to the lobby we were given a $200 limit on room charges. No real explanation of why this was happening. They couldn't even tell us why they charged the $200 since they had no intention of letting us use it. After check out we asked at the main check in desk since we had used the Laurel Collection desk and were told debit is considered cash and anywhere we wanted to charge to our room the employee there was supposed to call the front desk for approval which no one did and we weren't told this at check in. We were also told after check out that we had the option of having more held so we could charge to our room. We travel 4-5 times a year and no place has ever done this. We stayed for our 30th wedding anniversary and booked a room in the Augustus tower and were upgraded to the Octavius tower. The room was very nice except for the hair in the bathtub and the fact they wanted $12 for k cups for the Kurieg and the excuse was starbucks is $5-$6 a cup which it isn't. When we complained about these things the desk person alternated between we just don't understand to it's our fault. We kept saying someone should have told us. Every time we complained we were told happy anniversary then oh well to bad for you. We ended up with an attitude and decided we weren't going to give them anymore of our money and went else where for dinner and drinks. The biggest issue for us...not even an I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. There are to many other choses to be treated like that

This place really stinks. The hotel staff is rude and constantly trying to find ways to overcharge you for basic services. You cannot get into your room until 4pm. If you move an item in the refrigerator to put in your sandwich they rip you off for 25 dollars. Five dollars for a cup of coffee - everything is overpriced. Ice machine on my floor was out all week. The place smells of cigarette smoke throughout the building. This place really mistreats customers. The pool closes at 7pm and you can't even find a clean towel by the pool.

Don't waste your money at this dive.

Room Tip: don't come here.
