“slightly far from the strip, but a comfortable hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

I booked this place for one night before a two night stay at a motel on the Strip, and thought the price was right, though for $13, the resort fee should allow me to use more devices on their Internet. I chose this place over Sam's Town.

Anyway, the room was comfortable and very nice. The hotel was decent and had a lot of stuff. Unfortunately, my friend and I didn't do much other than sleep one night before we moved to the Strip, and didn't get to try their buffet and other restaurants.

One funny thing that occurred during my stay was two liquored up white trash guys started fighting in the parking lot, and then tackled to the ground by security in one minute. I figure that these domestic violence prone people are all over town, so it probably isn't too surprisingly I saw it happening like an episode of COPS...however, I doubt I would see these folk doing this at Bellagio, Wynn or a slightly nicer casino on LV Blvd.

If I had to do it again, I would try ST since they are comparable, but this place isn't bad at all.

We needed a room for 1 night and this place was pretty good. We went on Latino music night or something. Won a little there so we may go back again. Overall for the price was not a bad casino. It's far from strip but close to movie theaters and low price food.

From the minute we walked in to the lobby, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. Then the clerk at the check-in counter had a horrible hacking cough and cold (Doesn't this hotel provide sick days for its employees? Doesn't the management monitor the health of the people coming in contact with its guests?) Then the clerk proceeded to tell me that the hotel was charging an extra $14.55 "resort fee" for special amenities the hotel was providing: the pool, the telephone, and a WiFi system that wouldn't work. How those qualify as special amenities and not the standards supplied at the local Motel 6, I'm not sure. With three strikes, we would have walked out right away, but the booking was non-refundable. To be honest, the room itself was OK, but the rest of the experience was unacceptable. We tried to go to one of the onsite restaurants, but the cigarette smell was overwhelming there too, so we left building and went down the street.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel.

The room was up to date and clean. Check - in was quick and the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The casinois large and had plenty of machines. Variety of restaurants to choose from. The Cafe is 24hrs and the food is good and plentiful. The wait staff are very friendly. There is a movie theater & buffet . Therefore, expect kids near the restaurants and bathrooms. We were there for a "couples getaway", so all the children were a little distracting. If you stay on a weekend it will be more family oriented. I am sure it is a little more peaceful during the week. Overall, I was impressed with this "away from the strip" casino. Be aware. ...their "Resort fee" is kind of high considering where it is located.

WE booked a room at the Boulder Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and requested a handicapped room. When we arrived we were told that there were no more handicapped rooms, after complaining we were given a handicapped room with a view of the top of the roof and ductwork. We were directed to park in a parking lot by the Casino entrance being told that it was closer to the elevators. It was actually about 2 times as far away and we had to carry all the luggage thru the casino, thru the parking lot and all this with my husband needing to use a cane.
Why make someone with a visible handicap walk 2 times as far to get to their room? I would not stay here again.

Room Tip: unless you want a view of the top of a roof with all it's ductwork and nothing else, be sure to...

It's funny how a simple thing will sully your impression just about anything.

I booked a stay at the Boulder Station Hotel & Casino as I was passing through 'Vegas. The rate was fantastic, which is why I chose the property.

However, upon check-in, I was told there was a "resort usage fee" of $12.99. It was to include things like using the pool, local calls from the phone in your room, and the Wi-Fi... Really? If the rate you're paying doesn't include those things, what does it include? Just the bed? So, what turned out as a fantastic rate, initially, quickly became just an average rate - which only served to frustrate me.

The hotel, room, and amenities at the Boulder Station Hotel & Casino are fine. I have no complaints. I just wished they'd have been transparent at the time of booking that there is an additional "resort fee."

Room Tip: The 4th floor rooms facing West were quiet

stayed here for a couple of nights together with family, booked 2 connecting rooms. the view of the room was great. had a reward card that lets you accumulate points. the buffet was not bad. Had to go up and down because the card key was not functioning well but can easily be replaced.
