“Amazing Stay, best hotel on the Strip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

Me ,my wife and our Kids (23/21) stayed for 5 nights at the Bellagio form June 2 to June 7,2014.
We took 2 rooms and went there and upgraded to the fountain view room ( @usd 40/room). It was probably a very good decision since the view from the room of the fountain and the strip was fabulous. The view of the lighted strip at night and the Bellagio fountain is really something to cherish and leaves you spellbound
The hotel rooms were very spacious, the bathrooms were very large and all the lotions , towels etc provided very top notch
We called for room service a couple of times and the service was efficient. We had breakfast and lunch at the Buffet restaurant a couple of times and it was really nice
We had read in the reviews before that there is no Tea making facility in the rooms and you can not use the Fridge for putting your own things,so we were mentally prepared for the same, but it really puts you off,and that is the only drawback that I can think of for the Hotel
The hotel itself is huge and really nice. you can be put off by the large crowds walking in the lobby and the casino ( most of them are tourists who come to visit the Bellagio), but that is Vegas for you.
It was a great stay and a wonderful experience staying at the Bellagio, one of the best Hotels that I have stayed

We stayed in Dec '13 with our 3 kids. Bellagio itself is beautiful to walk through and visit but would not recommend to stay. We were excited to stay here as we thought it would be a luxury experience, however rooms had a very strong smell of smoke. We had no hot water so that had to be fixed (with no apology). Fridge is filled with mini bar that is on sensor (visa charged if you remove) so no room to put your own water bottles etc. Had to walk through smoke filled casino to access lifts to rooms. Even though we had booked with extended family several months in advance they still could not place us near each other (not even on the same floor) unless we had paid an extra fee. The location was good but next time we would stay at another casino nearby.

Knowing that the Bellagio itself is a beautiful hotel, we chose to stay there for our honeymoon. Unfortunately the majority of the stay was disappointing. The staff seemed rather dismissive or disinterested, both when I called before the trip and through to our departure. Things definitely started off rocky, when we entered the room and some device (we think an air cleaner) had been left on the floor in the room, and my new bride tripped over it and cut her foot. To procure a Band-Aid, Security had to be called and 30 minutes of paperwork and pictures (including a picture of her face, apparently since we were now added to the "watch list"), we got a single Band-Aid, but not a single apology throughout. Having stayed at various casinos, the room was average and amenities standard. Just nothing to wow you or make you want to stay again. A final complaint, an evening call for coffee and cookies for a premium took an hour plus, with two cookies obviously taken from the refrigerator - for roughly $30, I would have expected warm cookies at a minimum. Beautiful to pass through and sight-see, but could not otherwise recommend to anyone.

We are so sorry to hear of the problems you had during your honeymoon stay. We will be sending you a private message in hopes to gain further information about your experience as what you’ve described is certainly not the level of service we provide.

A place to call a 2nd home. Excellent service, variety of high end restaurants and those who are on the budget. Excellent shopping and most of all the Bellagio Fountain a must have dinner over looking that. A must see the "O" show don't leave Vegas without it if you never saw it. I would see it over and over and over...

we stayed at The Bellagio for four nights and still didn't see all of it. (They give you a map of the whole resort on arrival.) We had a room overlooking the 'back end' of Vegas which was actually really nice - we saw some amazing sunsets, and the mountains make a great backdrop.

The bedroom area wasn't as large as we had been led to believe, when we booked it showed a separate living area which we didn't get - apparently (we were told this by a cabbie) they give the best rooms in the main tower to the 'gamblers' (how did they tell we weren't gamblers?) and relegate the others to the 'Spa Tower' which is along a massive hallway and mainly houses conference rooms. Still it was very nice, but it would have been good to have this knowledge beforehand (they make no distinction on the website at all, so this is a bit sneaky I think).

The actual rooms, pool area, restaurants, and shops are all top class, and one thing about the Bellagio is that unlike most other hotels on the strip, you do not have to go through the smoke-filled casino to get outside. Even on the occasions when we did walk past the gambling area, the smoke was not nearly as bad as in some of the nearby resorts.

On our first night we ate a very late dinner (2am!) in our room and the service was amazing! And not that expensive. All the dining places were excellent.

Car parking onsite is free and plentiful. It is easy to avoid the valets and look after your own bags, which also saves you quite a bit of money.

In terms of location, I would say The Bellagio is in the best spot, right in the middle of the strip, so you can easily explore the other complexes. We dined across the road at Paris Paris! one night and watched the magnificent fountain play to a new tune every 15 minutes.

Even if you are not a gambler, there is plenty to do at The Bellagio.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room in the main tower if you don't like lots of walking. Apparently the...

Stayed at the MGM for 11 years in a row...including this trip. Switched to Bellagio for the first time. What haven't we done this before now? Excellent hotel! Our new destination in LV is Bellagio. Just my opinion, but I'd suggest it be yours too! You won't be disappointed!

Love love this hotel. It is the 'king' of the strip and has so much class. The water fountain display gives it that extra touch. Although this is a massive hotel the staff are very friendly and give a personal touch. I didn't want to leave! Definitely the best hotel on the strip.
