“RIP Bill's, You Will Be Missed!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Such a shame this hotel is going! It may not be the biggest or most glamorous on The Strip, but the location is perfect (right opposite Caesar's Palace) and because it is smaller, it has a far more friendly and less intimidating feel to many of the others, and you don't have to walk across a mile of casino floor to get to your room.

The hotel and casino staff are very friendly, dealers were mostly really helpful in explaining the games to us beginners, despite not knowing if they'll have a job in the next 2 weeks.

It does have some downsides, the rooms are dated and the smoke in the casino seems more dense than a lot of the others, probably due to weaker air handling. The room heater/cooler was extremely loud so you couldn't leave it on at night without it keeping you awake. The bathrooms are very small too.

But if you're in Vegas, you probably wont be spending much time in your room anyway, so as a base and somewhere to stay, then Bill's was ideal.

Shame it's being knocked down and being replaced with something that looks like it will be a lot more expensive!

“Bad place to stay!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

I stayed there for 3 days.

1. Difficult to sleep as you can hear vehicle noise and people's shouting. You cant sleep without alcohol.
2. Very old building and Beds are not that comfort.
3. No internet without additional fee
4. No microwave over or a coffee maker in the room
5. Casino is too small and full of smoke zone.
Horrible experience. One good thing is that it is located close to Bellagio and Eiffel tower casino.
Not recommended to stay.

Room Tip: This hotel is not a good choice. For the same price try Stratosphere or Golden nugget. You will get...

“gonna miss ya, bill!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

Yup, I'm sure gonna miss Bill's when it closes on February 4 for a yearlong renovation that will alter its retro old-time Las Vegas character forever. Something tells me it's not gonna be $27 for a large double room mid-week anymore, Toto. What a shame. There is enough glitz and bling around already. Bill's was that fantastic exception: an unbeatable location at the heart of the Strip for no money, with just a short walk to the elevators and a clean room, many with views of the Bellagio fountains. So go ahead, fix it up and charge what you have to, developers, but I'll always be grateful for the good times I had there on the cheap and clean.

“Cheap and okay for the Strip”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

I stayed at Bill's in June 2012 for 2 days and it was a nice and clean place to stay.

I arrived 2 days earlier in Vegas from my road trip from San Francisco and I needed a cheap place to stay. I allready had hotel reservations for a downtown hotel, so i decided to check out a hotel on the Strip. Bill's seemed to be okay with fair room rates, so i booked a room for 2 days.

The check-in is spot on 3pm, if you want to check-in before that time you'll have to pay 15 or 25usd (I don't know the exact amount anymore).

The room I got faced the Strip with the Bellagio fountains and was quiet big and clean. The bathroom was kinda small but served it's purpose and a plus was that it had small window you could open. I smoke, so to open a window for some fresh air instead of only circulated AC air is always good. The AC in the room was the only problem, it blew too much cold air and could not be dailed down.

In overall i had a nice stay at Bill's

“Can't beat it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

We stayed here for my 2nd time but for 5 nights this year. It was quite early when we went to book it but managed to get a room and a room with a view of the Bellaggio fountains! I was ecstatic you can lie on the bed and you hear the crash of the water as it goes up I couldn't stop running to the window to watch it. Rooms are a great size plenty of room and even get a table and 2 chairs. They do look a little tired but it adds to the charm. It takes no time to get to your room because the hotel is so small and it's in an amazing location close to some of the biggest hotels on the strip without their prices or miles to walk to find the rooms. Heard its getting a make over next year and a rooftop pool hope it doesn't result in the prices going sky high as this is the only place I want to stay in Vegas.
