Spent 3 nights here on a short break. Chose this hotel based on location and price (compared to others) and the result was pretty much expected. Location is superb, mid strip and opposite the Bellagio. The room we got (basic twin) was adequate, slightly tired but not dirty. The hotel overall is starting to look a bit worn in places but not excessively. The pool area is small but adequate to chill out although when we were there it seemed as if half the pool side was closed off for the chargeable 'VIP' area (which simply means you sit the other side of the rope and have a curtained lounger) and this meant there was not enough space or loungers for everyone else around the pool- despite there only being one person in the VIP area! The casino is good but probably on the smaller side for Vegas- we tended to use the Bellagio, Treasure Island, Ceasars Palace and Paris as these tended to have the lower minimum tables. Point to note for all casino though is that the slots seem to rarely pay out, I heard quite a few people saying how tight they were and found this ourselves ( we stuck mostly to Blackjack in the end). We ate in the PH Spice Market Buffet using the two for one tickets we got from British Airways, so around $30 for both of us, which was good value, the food was good, not fantastic but good. Dessert options were fantastic. Wouldnt have paid the $30 per head though. Also recommend the Bellagio buffet which was was phenomenal, quality food and great selection is nice surroundings- watch the queue though, we took the option of seating at the bar to jump ahead and this was comfortable. Also had the MGM breakfast buffet- this was awful! Poor choice, expensive and didnt seem geared up to large crowds so queues for everything. So overall, if on a limited budget but wanted the good location I would return- but would prefer to stretch the little further to the likes of the Bellagio.
