“PLEASANT!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We've stayed at Planet Hollywood a few times now and every time is a "pleasant" and "fun" experience. The ONLY reason why I didn't give a full "excellent" rating is due to the pool...The 2 pools were fair/nice, though the LOUD music is not varied like we would have wished and was only geared to a certain age group. It would have been nice to have a variety of music for all ages and not so much "boom boom boom". We still had fun and we worked our way over to the pool that was a "bit" more quiet and peaceful....though not so much. The rooms are clean, and our view was wonderful! I must say that their buffet is probably the BEST we've experienced in all of our many stays in Las Vegas! Gaming is fun, drinks were quickly delivered, and we were treated very well with many smiles. Our next trip will most likely be a stay at "Planet Hollywood"!!! This hotel/casino is one of my top favorites!! Again....the Buffet is a MUST TRY!!!

Room Tip: Don't be afraid to ask for what you want. They seem to want to please. We were happy, and it w...

Went to Gordon Ramsey's Burgr for lunch. Great burger and onion rings. Had a thick shake...OMG! Then, went to gambling for a couple of hours and won $350. Not a bad day... Did not have a room per say. But, it is nice with an inside mall and a pool.

I really enjoyed my stay at PH and keep coming back because the people are friendly. The employees make you feel important and I think that makes the customers more friendly as well. There is always something going on. The beverage servers are faster than other casinos.

We stayed at PH recently because we attended a meeting there, and wanted to stay on location. The lobby and checkin is located at the back of the hotel. There were no automatic doors, so we had to hold the doors open while lugging heavy luggages. Line was ultra long at the front desk. There were many receptionists( and the line was short if you are a platinum member of their Total Rewards program), so they are either slow or they need to add more receptionists. I was told that my room rate did not include wifi( additional $13 for access but only for 1 device). In this day and age, most hotels already include wifi in the room rates, or have free wifi in their lobbies. Well, I was told that the Starbucks and Planet Dailies in their casino do have free wifi( but both were not working the entire weekend I was there).
Our room was spacious(2 Queen beds), with a separate shower, bath and toilet. Bath products were okay. But the room layout was not too functional, closet space was very small. Shower pressure was okay. The room was dated and a bit worn. Lighting was inadequate, and the AC was not reliable, had to put the thermostat to 63F to get a decent cooling. And majority of the air was blowing riight onto one of the beds, while the other parts of the room felt warm. The walls were paper thin and we can hear the conversation next door, as well as hotel guests going to their rooms at all hours.
I did not use their pool or spa, so I won't comment on those. The hotel is conveniently located, with the Miracle Mile shops attached. Adequate eating places in and around the hotel.
They have an internet machine located in the conference hall where one can pay to access the internet or print( boarding passes etc). Again, a lot of hotels offer free online checkin as well as printing of boarding passes as a courtesy for their guests.

Planet Hollywood hotel is definitely a very cool and hip place to stay. Not only are the rooms decorated nicely with memorabilia from movies, the beds are VERY comfortable. Everything about the stay was wonderful. The food was delicious and all staff we encountered were very welcoming, polite and knowledgeable. Slots were entertaining too, they didn't just take all my money :) Looking forward to our next stay!!!

Room Tip: Stayed on the 25th floor. Quiet room with a view

This hotel is in a great location but the staff are not very helpful. I would recommend you do not leave any valuables lying around or accidentally leave anything you want back in your room. We left something behind which was our fault I understand. I called as soon as I realised which was a few hours after we checked out. Nobody at Planet Hollywood has been able to help us. We have called about 20 times (no joke) we have been through lost and found and security and nobody can give us a straight answer. We have been advised nothing has been handed in and the staff refuse to check the room/cupboard for the missing item. I think it is fair to assume somebody isn't doing their job and checking when people report missing items or people working at this hotel are not very trustworthy.
Wouldn't stay again after this.

Planet Hollywood is a nice place to stay but like some of the other large hotels it is showing its age since being redone and changing the name. We were very surprised to find that as we checked in at 10:00 am in the morning there is a $23.00 charge for early check in. They would wave that extra cost if we took an upgrade. The $20.00 a day resort fee really burns me. It included the "free" wi-fi which worked some of the time. Had to be reset often. It appears to me that the over all numbers going to Las Vegas is down., The cabby's agree and it looks like the hotels are grabbing money from as many areas as possible. Planet Hollywood is not the only hotel grabbing these extra charges. We left the Friday night of Labour Day Weekend and wanted to have dinner at the buffet at the hotel. The usual cost is right around $35.00. We learned that the price for Friday, Saturday and Sunday had gone up to $72.95 per person with nothing added. That's a money grab. We went elsewhere! The room was nice but showing signs of wear. It could have been cleaner. Bed was comfortable. The water was not always hot. The location is good with a bus stop just outside the front doors. The bus service in Las Vegas is fantastic. Very annoying time share people in the hotel and just outside the mall door. They try to grab you every time you enter and leave. Think we will try another hotel for our next trek to Las Vegas which we do twice a year.
