“The D pros and cons”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

There is a fun group of dealers - dancing dealers (some sleaze.) I found the music to to cranked
up about 3 levels more than it should be. Some of us want to hear in our old age.
The rooms are decent. They have greatly improved the elevator system. That is, they
ask you what floor and they send you to your own special elevator.
My cell phone did not work on some of the high floors.

Room Tip: Tell them you would like a lower floor, not too close (or far) from elevator. Ask for a view.

Stayed at the D for a girls weekend. The room was good, comfortable beds, spacious enough for all of us. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, coffee splattered on the wall by the garbage, floor not spotless at check-in, slow shower drain and dripping faucet in the sink, but neither kept us awake or was a huge issue. Service was good in the room and extra towels were provided immediately when requested. Would have been nice to have had a fridge and coffee maker. Elevators were different in that you type in your floor and it assigns you an elevator, but once you understand that, it is really efficient and easy. Rarely a wait.

Room Tip: Stay on the non-Freemont side and in the upper level rooms, and you will get a great night sleep.

I'm not so disappointed in the Hotel itself, but I was advised by reservations to speak with a "host" at the property for my return stay, so they transferred me to that department. I got a voice mail which I left a message on, with my name, players club number and phone number....NO return call. I called the following day and again was transferred and again I got another voice mail...I did the same, left name, number and players club number. And again NO return phone call. I'm not the biggest spender that they have, but I do play some money in the casino. They make me feel as if I'm not worthy enough to justify a return call because I didn't meet there standards of someone who deserves a host. Had it not been for reservations saying " why don't you have a host, you spent enough here last time to have one" I would not have even considered speaking with a host...very disappointed to say the least. Makes me want to cancel my reservation in which I have 4 nights free from the hotel and move on to another casino and pay for my room!

We deeply apologize for the lack of communication from our host department. If you could send your contact info to social@thed.com, we'll have our casino host Avery contact you immediately. Again, we apologize and hope to hear from you soon.

We enjoyed our stay at the D. Great location and we had fun on slots and roulette. The American Coney island was a fun spot for a late night snack.the view of freemont street was great and the staff were friendly.

This was the first time staying on Freemont Street, and it was excellent. The D is right in the middle of the Freemont experience. Its a smaller hotel that provides excellent entertainment, restaurants and staff are great. A big shout out to the front desk. Bianca was awesome.

Room Tip: We stayed in a corner suite away from Freemont, which were very quiet.

This hotel is not a bad deal, for the price, the location right on freemont street, the Restaurant is one of the best in Vegas, but be ready to open up that wallet, When we arrived their were a lot of the younger crowd, which made us uncomfortable, And be ready to wait your turn for one of the 4 elevators, I'd say that was the worst part of the stay, waiting 10 minutes for a elevator then having to ride it packed full of people all the way to our 22nd floor, not fun riding an elevator with a bunch of stinky drunks! LADIES! At night the hotel has girls that dance in between the tables (on her own table) so FYI if u only want your man staring at you, you may want to skip this hotel =p

The D offers the basics for a great hotel stay.

It's a great location to all the hotels on Fremont street.

Clean rooms,

My only complaint is the Resort fee, why, why, why, Just include the fee in the room rate, it's uncalled for and unnecessary.

Having a McDonalds in the lobby is the bomb!

Make sure you take the super shuttle to the hotel otherwise your looking at a $50 cab ride downtown.

Thank you for the feedback and we're pleased to hear you had a great time during your recent stay. As for the resort fee, if we included the fee in the room rate, we would be at a competitive disadvantage with the other hotels in Las Vegas, which list the fee separately. Your review is appreciated and we hope you'll join us again on your next trip to Vegas!
