Sam's Town is off the strip, but I think that is an advantage!! The rooms are set up in a square with "the park" in the middle--definitely go for the park view room. The park had trees, bird sounds and animated animals. Late afternoon and evening the animals and the fountain kinda come to life. There is music, fountains, waterfalls and mists--listen for the coyote howl for the start of the show! At night there is quite a laser show on the "mountain" behind the fountain. We had room 520 and looked right at the show-fantastic view! The rooms are very nice, not a lot of channel selection on the TV, but I guess most people are not there to watch TV. There are two parking garages (make sure you note which one you park in) and they also have valet parking. Lots of restaurants including some chains. Machines didn't pay off as well as the ones in Ely.
