I had read all the reviews about this resort being an oasis, and I thought it was probably marketing spin. I can tell you that it was not. This place was unbelievable on many levels. It was almost freaky that we would walk in from the strip or from the Mandalay Bay entrance, and the peace, serenity and quiet just induces a big sigh of relief. With the hectic, crazy pace everywhere else in Las Vegas, it was so wonderful to have this haven to decompress in.
The service was unlike anywhere we've ever been. It was like having your own private staff and butler service. They were just unbelievably thoughtful, helpful, personal and imaginitive coming up with ways to make your life easier and better! I was using a scooter, and had some health needs, and they were so on top of it! They consistently went out of there way for me with such sincere concern. They always seemed so happy to help - lf that was just a business strategy we couldn't tell, because each person seemed so sincere and supportive.
The room was elegant, with plenty of room. Amenities were plush and comfortable. The bed was a bit soft for me, but they put in a bed board and it was perfect. The pool was pleasant and the level of service out there was just amazing. Anything you need or want can be gotten for you. If you want to move your chair to get in or out of the sun they'll move everything for you and set you up with fresh towels. They give you a pitcher of water with oranges or lemons, and keep the ice fresh so it's cold. They come around with frozen fruit, popsicles, an evian spritz for your face, juice samples, cucumbers and they wash your glasses. It's some first class pampering.
Housekeeping was utterly amazing. I can't even list all the touches and things they did to make the room special, orderly and neat.
The one challenge with staying at this resort is the location on the strip. Regardless, we would definitely choose the Four Seasons, and just use taxis. Of course it's a non-smoking place, and that was wonderful for us. We did enjoy being able to go into Mandalay Bay to gamble and eat. The pool at Mandalay was too crowded and hectic for us. We prefered the peace at the Four Seasons.
