“Great rooms with incredible views, but....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

I could see all the potential in this room. Everything was there, the layout was fantastic.
The basic problem for me was that the room was simply not clean.

I get that hotel rooms cannot be perfect, but the entire suite was covered in a layer of dust. It honestly felt like nobody had stayed in our suite for a month. It was like it was cleaned and then never refreshed.

Nobody seemed to care when I pointed this out on checkout. I wanted to like it but couldn't get past the dirt/dust everywhere.

Thank you for your feedback Matt H. We appreciate your concerns about cleanliness and extend our apologies on your experience of Palms Place Hotel Spa.

Perfection is mostly certainly an expectation that we strive for and your accommodations are not in line with our housekeeping standards. We are grateful for your comments and your review will definitely be communicated so that future guests do not experience these issues.

We booked 8 rooms over 2 months in in advance for staff retreat only to find that when each individual attempted to check in the were sent running from tower to tower as front desk staff continued to find room for us. Each staff member got a different story and offer as to why they were unable to honor our reservations. We were specifically told by our front desk staff that we were being "upgraded" without a charge to the non suite tower. When I asked if the rooms were the same I was told yes but no kitchen, which was a deal breaker for us, then was offered a $30 food credit in attempt to get us to move to the other tower. Each of the staff attempted to get the rooms we booked, most waited several hours to be able to get their rooms while others had to relocate to the other towers. We take staff several times a year to Vegas but after the treatment we got at the Palms/Palms Place we will not be staying here again!

As a side note the rooms in the Palms Place were nice but our refrigerator broke and our food spoiled. Also there is not an ice machine on any of the floors which is only a problem when your refrigerator is broke and you wait hours for bell desk to bring it up :( !

Room Tip: Not sure if any of this could have been avoided especially since we booked in advance and called 4 d...

Dear Familyfun4us2013,

We appreciate your feedback and we apologize for the issues experienced on your staff retreat. We understand how crucial it is to get it right the first time especially when bookings are made well in advance. On this occasion, we clearly were unable to deliver on your expectations and we extend our deepest regret that your retreat experienced this unfortunate situation.

Palms Place Hotel Spa strives for perfection on each and every reservation and we failed to manage the correct reservation accommodations for you. Your review will help us identify areas of concern to our guests and will assist with delivering a better experience in the future.

We stayed at palms place for 1 night while we were in Vegas this hotel is AWSOME! The view of the strip is unbelievable, free club passes, free valet parking, rooms look exactly like pics on Internet. They don't have a casino but its a short walk to the palms casino. I would definetly stay here again

The room was larger than expected and offered magnificent views across Las Vegas. The onsite Drift Spa is beyond compare - amzing facility for a resonable additional fee of $15. The outdoor pool area was relaxing and combined exclusivity with a friendly atmosphere. I also made use of the ground floor bar - great value - impressive service - and delicious wine!! The best feature overall was staff attention to detail and service. This made the Palms Place experience rise above the ordinary.

Room Tip: Arrive punctually for check-in to request a city view. It adds that extra special element to the st...

This place was great! The rooms are much more like a Condo than your typical hotel room. You will find a blender, toaster, microwave, stove, and empty refrigerator (in addition to a stocked mini bar refrigerator) in the room. Be sure to stock up at the grocery store on the way!!!

At first I was unhappy when I checked in and they gave us a crappy Super 8 room even though I had booked a suite and tried to give me a 50.00 food voucher to make up for it. When I saw the room they tried not to change it because of the food voucher but once we spoke to a manger they put us in a VERY NICE suite!!! I did not like the EXTRA charge for the Strip when we weren't even on the Strip!!!

Room Tip: Bring Plenty of cash for the cabs because your not on the Strip and cabs charge an EXTRA 3.00 for cr...

Thank you for your feedback sdb b. It is unfortunate that your initial experience did not meet your expectations but we are always happy to hear when issues are resolved by our staff.

We hope to see you again in the future, and please feel free to utilize our complimentary shuttle to the strip by way of Palms Casino Resort that takes you to the Caesars Palace Forum Shops!

Palms Place is an excelent hotel. It feels tucked away at the back of the Palms and seems more private.
The room was great - although starting to show some signs of wear and tear. We had a view over Vegas towards the Strip through floor to celing windows.
The employes where good too.
The tower is connected to the Palms Casino by a sky bridge, so its a few minutes walk to the Casino and main pool, but I think thats worth it to be away from the crowds.
The Palms Casino itself is a good Casino - clasier looking than some on the strip.
The pool area is quite small, but again is very private.
