“Pleasantly Pleased”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

We needed a room for one night that didn't break the bank. The Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino was the answer. It was quite affordable and very clean. The room was spacious (not cramped), had a refrigerator and coffee pot and free Wifi. Since my husband is handicapped it was AWESOME to be able to park right in front of the room. While checking in I noticed they had some yummy looking food specials....next stay we are going to try those out....can't wait.

We go to this hotel every year and we always feel welcomed by the staff who will go out of their way to make us more comfortable. Free shuttle to the strip is well appreciated as we go there worry free by not driving our car and looking for a parking. We will go in the future to reward them for a superb services.

Room Tip: You need a clean bathroom, bedroom and reliable WIFI and airport shuttle service with major services...

We stayed at the mardi gras hotel and casino for 6 days. Rooms were reasonably priced and room was very clean, the only bad thing was how hard the bed was. Staff was very attentive and courteous. The restaurant and restaurants staff were fantastic. We loved the food and drinks and ate there on several occasions. The price for food and drink were well priced and fabulous. Overall our stay was great and we will stay again. The hotel is blocks away from convention centre monorail station and the monorail is a cheap fast transportation to the strip. Overall great trip.

For the price, I cannot complain. The rooms were spacious and clean. At first, I was scared of booking this hotel because of the bad reviews about cleanliness and safety but we have not this issue during our stay.

What I like:
- Big spacious room with TV and couch.
- Wifi, Fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer and iron. Good amenities for the price paid.

What I did not like:
- No microwave. Felt a little cheated since Priceline indicated that we would get microwaves. We brought food thinking there was a microwave so we ended up having terribly cold food. We asked for a microwave and staff said there's no microwave anywhere in the hotel.
- The walls seemed very thin. It was unfortunate that the room next to us were a noisy family with kids and someone snored very loudly all night that I did not get a good sleep/relaxation while staying in the room.

A little run-down & outdated, but large rooms, nice pool, and close to the Strip without being on the Strip. Wasn't expecting so much airplane noise, but turning on the heat/AC unit for a little white noise eliminated that problem. Easy walking distance to the convention center for folks attending convention events on a tight budget.

Room Tip: Three story motel with four ells that fully surround the large pool area. Each section has back-to...

I stayed with family and friends. It was a nice place, big room and quite. It was clean but I had to call to ask for towels. I could rest comfortably in a quiet place. It was a little bit cold but I didn't turned on the heater. I would recommend it.
