“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2008

Wonderful experience. We stayed 5 nights and had twice a day maid service without fail. Every hotel employee that we passed in a hall smiled and said "Hello" without fail. The pools were very nice and plentiful and we were there over Labor Day week-end. They still have a few problems: the elevator bank for floors 1 - 24 had very serious delays on Sunday morning and the video check-out was not operational. The rooms were great and the ammenties and service were wonderful.

I stayed at the Palazzo for two nights in August. It was great! The suites are large - the "smallest" suite is 750 sq ft, with a bedroom, living room and very large bathroom. It was so comfortable, and had a great view overlooking the Strip.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the pool was very nice. We were also able to use the facilities at the Venetian, as well as the Tao Beach club, which is a 21+ pool club with a DJ and bar.

I will definitely be back at the Palazzo on my next trip!

  • Liked — Very comfortable and impeccably clean
  • Disliked — Nothing! Everything was great.

This entire hotel is beautiful! The lobby with marble floors and high ceilings is breath taking. I'm not a gambler, so the walk through the casino to the bank of elevators was about all I did in that area. It was smokey smelling, of course, and I didn't want to linger there. I was in town for market - not to gamble. When I walked into my room, I wanted to giggle. I was so happy to have such a nice room. First, and most important to me, it was spotless. Not a spec of dirt or dust. The bathroom was huge, with 2 sinks, a flat screen tv, a separate "water closet" a very large shower with separate jacuzzi tub. There was also a small table and bench with a lighted make-up mirror for us ladies. The bedroom was equally as nice - very, very large with a separate sitting area. The bed was very comfortable - king size - with a large flat screen tv mounted on the wall opposite the bed. The sitting area was sunken and included an L shaped brown velvet sofa, another flat screen tv (that's 3 total!), a large desk with a printer and, of course, internet access (for 9.50/day). The drapes were operated with a hand held control. My only complaint - and I didn't complain the whole time I was in that room - was the view. My sister was across the hall and her view was beautiful - of the Wynn and the golf course and the mountains in the back ground. Mine was of the roof top of the Sands convention center. I don't think you can go wrong staying in this hotel. Oh, one more thing, they have really nice shops on the second floor and you are actually attached to the Venetian and can easily get there to shop and eat.

My husband and I are former hoteliers, so it was of particular importance that we choose the right hotel for our first visit to Las Vegas.
We have just returned from the most wonderful 10 days in the Palazzo hotel. We reserved a Concierge level suite and found this to have been a great decision as use of the Concierge Lounge was such a huge bonus. We enjoyed a super breakfast each morning in the comfort and luxury of the lounge, with no hustle or bustle, chilled bottles of water and soft drinks were freely available all day and the highlight of our day was cocktail and canape time in the evening. The staff were exceptional and could'nt do enough for us.
Overall the staff in the hotel were all very pleasant and efficient and nothing was ever too much trouble.
On your next visit to Las Vegas, do see the Jersey Boys - a fabulous show.

Just returned from a convention at the Palazzo over Labor Day weekend. The hotel is like an updated, hip version of the Venetian hotel next door. There are good restaurant and shopping choices on site and adjacent at Ventetian. The rooms are suites and very plush. The pool was pretty average for Vegas, but it was not over-crowded, which was nice. There were also lounge chairs set up in shallow areas of the pool.

Overall, a very nice property. Check-in was easy. Although our room wasn't available early when we arrived, the front desk actually did call w/in the hour to let us know that our room was ready.

The only complaints I have about Palazzo could be due entirely to the long weekend crowds. The elevators at check-out time are completely ridiculous. It took us about 25 minutes and some ingenuity to get into an elevator and downstairs to check-out. That leads me to my other gripe, which is that there is no express check-out available. So, just allow for extra time when trying to leave your floor and the hotel itself. The check-out line could have easily been cut in half if express check-out was available. Oh, one more thing - room service is SLOW. I was on hold to place my order for about 10 minutes, and then it took an hour (seriously) for the food to arrive, but it was at least pretty good.

Palazzo is a nice upscale property with well done decor.

My first visit to the Palazzo was gambling with some friends in January when it has just opened and I liked it right off the bat even though we were stayoing at TI (see other review). I received a complimentary 3 night stay and just returned from my visit yesterday...I think the Palazzo is less crowded/kitchy than the Venteian and more elegant but less snobby then the bellagio...Overall was a fantastic expereince but I do have a few notes:

1) Casino has non-smoking corridors and some non-smoking areas which is nice for those of use to whom it matters..Sure it is still Vegas so it will never be 100% but it is minimized

2) The room was lovely/awesome..and SURPRISE..incredibly PEACEFUL...We had a bella/2 queen suites. The living room is luxurious. I don't understand the person who said it looked like a porn set...it was straight out of HGTV modern, comfy yet elegant. Out faves were the vanty area in the bathroom, the big couch and the remote control blinds. Out view overlooked the mountains and the Wynn Gold course which was a pleasant view...

We receieved turn down service every other night which seems to be debated here...

Problems: small but noteworthy

1) Wake up Calls: our second morning we never received our wake up call..our third morning of check out we receieved our first 11:30 wake up call but not the follow up 12pm call they had offered...We has late check out at 1pm and ended up waking up then, noone bothered us about it but it seemed a bit off that they would blow it off 2 days in a row at a 5 star hotel...if we had had a plan to catch that would of been a bigger issue

2) Luggage: When leaving we wanted to check in out bags to lunch and gamble some more..We were put on hold for 15 minutes and then tolf it would be 1 hour for them to get to us....we lugged our bags down stairs unhappinly..Luckily we came across a bellman on the casino floor who graciously took our stuff and saved out afternoon

3)Sadly, Mandalay Bay changed their spa use policy so I ended up at the pool at the Palazzo..i like their idea of putting chairs in the water to sunbathe but in my 2 hours there I heard a lot of people complaining about how the water was TOO HOT..Yes, it is vegas and hot...the pool is only about 4ft deep but it would be nice ifthey had some sort of cooling/filter system ..I heard about 15 various people complain.....

Still..We loved the hotel...we love coffee shops over buffets and you CANNOT BEAT the GRAND LUXE CAFE..We'd think about eating other places and they just sucked ( we went to the Paris cafe and actually left to go back to GRand LUX) The one in the Ventian is 24 hours and the Palazzo one closes early...

It's worth a visit to Las Vegas just to stay in one of their hotel suites. We booked a Queen Suite, and were only sorry we couldn't stay longer to enjoy the luxury of the room - absolutely fabulous. The hotel was very busy, so check in was a bit laborious, but all staff were extremely pleasant. Don't stay anywhere else - the suite was fabulous, and worth every penny!
