I have actually recomended this place to friends....never again. I stayed here in November 08 and now I stayed here in November 09. The first time I stayed back in 08 I was given a room that had 1 TV in the whole condo, I compalined and got a better room with 3 flat screens throughout the unit. In 09 I was given a room that was in a corner that smelled funny and one room was missing a TV. There were bicycles chained to the trees and people out in lawn chairs that must live there full time. These people do not exactly look like the type you would want to spend your vacation around if you get my drift. The parking lot looks like it needs replacing badly (lots of loose gravel), the lawns looks like dead weeds, and the place needs a bath. I compalined again, and got the same exact room, as I got in replacment last year which must be their "default room", but this time it didnt have flat screens. It had 3 tvs, but they were in bad shape. buttons broken, dirty remotes or missing batteries and 1 missing remote. At 6 o'clock in the morning i heard a girl screaming profanities at the top of her lungs, and heard cars with loud thumping stereos and exhaust tips coming and going throughout the days and nights. I thought the ammenities and convenience was worth the price, but I will never be staying here again. Trust me, I do not recommend staying here with your family unless they know how to dodge a bullet. Pets are allowed, but charges are high.

What a Great Place to STAY! I usually just get a hotel room, but I heard about this place from a friend. Large 1 bedroom, had a large bedroom, dinning room, and bathroom, with a full kitchen. Large flat screen on the wall, internet, pool, and I could walk to the RIO where my conference was, half the price of the RIO. Very clean, not a hotel , condo, so there a lot of room, great place if you have more than one person in the group. security officer weas very helpful

i booked two nights at rio two months before our trip, and then relized it was long weekend so we decided to stay an extra day, unfortunatly rio was a little over price for last minute deals so we found desert tides thinking it was convinient to stay near by. The price was amazing, on the website the rooms look good, flat screen tv, fully kitchen, once we arrived uugghh, no dishes,no phones no flat screen tv, no control and the worst part no iron. Just as the night came we were getting ready to go out so we had to drive up to the office since the room didnt have a phone, and asked for a iron, the employee their said they didnt have any irons at the time and they'll try to get one the next, not a good thing so u can just imagine how are night ended, so its worth paying a couple of extra bucks and stay at a known hotel. I wouldn't recommend it to any one, not even to people in a tight budget

I was invited by friends to stay with them this past weekend in Las Vegas. I'll start with the positives first, since it is limited. There is free wireless somehow, as I was able to find one or two connections, but wasn't sure if they belonged to the property or by their private residents. The rooms were big, but that's about it.

First all, much of the place looks like Section 8 material. While some of the units (particularly in the front) look all right in the outside, the units in the rear are straight up ghetto. The feeling you get there also by seeing some of the people makes you think this was a government housing project.

During the time there (thankfully only two nights), Someone on the top floor (we were staying on the second floor of three) would make a lot of noise. Very annoying. I'm surprised the cops didn't show up. As I said, the place did have room, though the rooms were probably subpar clean. Since we had a lot of people, I had to sleep on the floor, which sucked.

Would i come back to this? I'll take Motel 6 over this.

May 6, 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

I booked the place through hotels.com, it was a crazy weekend with some major events going on and I couldn’t find anywhere else last minute. We arrived at 11pm, and there were 2 parties in front of the check-in line. The first party had some problems with their reservation through Hotels.com, took them about 30 minutes to solve to problem, then took them about 15 minutes to check in the next guest. When it was our turn, sure they couldn’t find our reservation. They said that is the problem between me and Hotels.com, and they insisted I should give Hotels.com a call to solve the problem my self. Finally, we got our room key, only to find out the unit they gave us was not cleaned and not ready to go. Then I had to drive back to the office, waited for them to find a clean unit, and got into our room at 1am. Very slow check in procedure, average 20 minutes per guest.
Room was ok. Everything was provided, but to the minimal required. For example, there is only one reading lamp in each room, and there is no other lighting feature in both rooms apart from that. The air-conditioning system was terrible, annoyingly loud. We had to turn it off to be able to sleep, and couldn't stay in the living room while it was on. It was just too loud. No remote control to both TVs. We stay on the third floor, no elevator. There was a bag of trash sitting in front of the unit below us when we arrived, was still there when we checked out 2 days later. My friend and I went shower at the same time in the separate bathrooms; both ran out of hot water when we were half way through. They also charge a $6.95 "resort fee" when you thought that you've paid in full to Hotels.com. Upon checking out, I questioned the staff about the air-condition system. He said yes, they knew the problem with that unit--and yes, they went ahead and gave us the room!!!
