My wife and I went on the above tour on the 15th October 2009 and I must say we can not recommend this tour enough. Seriously, this was one of the highlights of our stay in Vegas and our guide for the day (Alfonso) was simply awesome. Not only did we see the Grand Canyon (which was impressive enough) but we also saw the Hoover Dam AND went to route 66, we even met Angel Delgadillo (a local hero as well as the inspiration for Pixars film Cars). Alfonso was fantastic and narrated throughout (no simple feat considering the trip is a whole day's outing), his knowledge on a myriad of topics is simply astounding and he not only made it fascinating but fun also (he also knows all the best photo spots, if you go ask him to show you the 'crocodile' and the 'lucky 7'). This trip made us appreciate the beauty of the area, which is a stark contrast to the glitsy glamour of Vegas.

I didn't really expect the tour to live up to the reviews. But it did. We had a fantastic day with Alfonso and the small group that travelled with us (4 Canadians from Toronto, 2 Brits, 1 Italian and us - two Australians).

Alfonso picked us up from our hotel - due to communication error with the booking agent, we turned up later than Alfonos expected us but thank goodness he waited for us because it was the highlight of our trip to LV, and in fact one of the best experiences we had in USA.

Breakfast was lovely and relaxing and a good opportunity to meet everyone. We had enough rest stops. The Hoover Dam was a lovely stop and we had some great pictures taken.

The Grand Canyon was spectacular and no camera could do it justice. Alfonso was a great guide and the picnic lunch was delcious, every bit of it.

We had a hiccup with the vehicle on the way home but one of the passengers on the tour was able to help Alfonso fix it.

It was a long day but we had a wonderful time. Thank you Alfonso! We were glad to have you as our guide.

Booked this trip based on reviews and we were not disappointed. Alfonso was a great guide and filled with info about the area geography and the Canyon itself. We had never been to the desert and the trip was quite interesting. Long but well worth it. The other positive reviews are right on the money.

we found out about grand canyon tours from trip advisor and it was everybit everyone said it would be.

we had Donn as our tour guide there was only eight in the group which was great every one was so nice. loved the fact they only do it in small groups.

we stopped at macdonalds for breakfast we could have what ever we wanted.

we went to hoover dam, route 66 were the disney film cars is based and lastly the canyon we was there a good 5 hours it sounds like that is a long time but it flys whilst your there. It was an amazing experiance and i couldnt falut the company once.

its a long day but worth every minute,
