We travelled to Las Vegas Oct 10-17 for our anniversary. We chose to stay at Tahiti village. We are timeshare owners at Westgate and wanted to stay on the strip. I called Tahiti village twice and condolidated Resorts once to request a room with either a view of the strip, a view of the pool, or a view of the lazy river ride. Although I was told that room requests are not guaranteed I was told by 2 separate employees that it should not be a problem. Upon check in, we were given a room in tower 2 on the 4th floor, view was of a parking lot, Dennys, and a motel that looked a little questionable. I asked if we could be moved and I was told that everything was sold out and to check back. Upon arrival at the condo, it looked nice. The bads: the couch was very, very uncomfortable, the telephone in the living room did not work, the light in the bathroom worked intermittently, there wasnt dish clothes or dish towels to do dishes and the kitchen was poorly stocked. After asking for 3 days, the staff was able to assist us in moving to "get a view"... We were moved to bldg 5, room 5360,,, This was the best.. everything was new and updated, the couch was comfy, the view was amazing (lazy river and the strip), kitchen was properly stocked, etc. Outside of the room, the grounds were amazing; beautiful and well maintained. For the most part, the staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, minus one or two at the front desk. The only other minor problem that we had, we were charged $9.99 for some internet thing that apparently works through the tv. Neither myself or my husband used the thing and we were charged but did not use it. I'm not quite sure what happened but my husband was playing with a keyboard and I'm guessing that had something to do with it. The staff refused to refund the charges, if it would have been more than $10.00 I probably would have fought the charge, but it wasnt worth the aggravation. In conclusion, I would definately recommend the place if you could be guaranteed a unit in phase 2, bldg 5 but WOULD NOT RECOMMEND it if you were staying in phase 1, bldg 2

My Husband and I had been to Vegas a couple of times before and stayed at the Luxor. We had walked the strip and seen many people with young children there and stated to each other that we would NEVER bring our kids around that atmosphere.... SO, when we decided to bring them to Vegas "egg on my face" we wanted to have a place to escape the Vegas.
Tahiti Village was just that. It was clean, well kept and just an amazing place. So much so we have just booked another week this coming Spring Break.
As a family we try to vacation at least once a year, we have been to Disneyland, Hawaii, and Mexico and I would pick Vegas over all of them now! It was relaxing for us as well as the entertainment around was top notch!
So much to do with kids - at the resort the pools are great! Totally staffed with lifeguards (most of which I don't know are qualified to be Lifegaurds).
Only problem was Adults taking glass wear into the lazy river and it having to be shut down 2 times to clean it out.
We stayed in a Moorea. It is the smallest unit Tahiti Village has to offer but fit us just fine.
We are now going back to stay in a 2 bedroom and can't wait.
Book here you won't be disapointed!!!
Our kids are age 7 and 10 and had the most amazing vacation can't wait to go back.

Just got back a few days ago and had a great time. My family owns a timeshare at Tahiti Village so we got a great deal for the week. We stayed in Tower 5 on the 8th floor. Just had a single room which was very spacious for the 4 of us. We had a nice view of the lazy river from our balcony. They offer a shuttle bus to the strip that leaves every half an hour. The bus has stops at the Tropicana and Treasure Island. The only thing with the bus that we didn't enjoy was that the bus last pick up is at 12:30 AM. But it's not the worst thing in the world, if you stay out late you'll just have to take a cab. The resort is right next to the airport, but suprisingly you dont hear anything from your room. We could hear them from the pool, but not a big deal. The pool area is very nice, and they allow you to bring in food and drinks. No glass, although someone had, and ended up breaking it in the pool. So that was 3 days of no pool because they had to drain, clean and refill it. Some people like to ruin it for others. But I would go back to Tahiti Village again. Great location right next door to the outlets. Very close to Walmart and other shopping. I would recomment this hotel to anyone. Great time. The people who have bad reviews on here dont know what they are talking about. This is a timeshare so like any other timeshare your room doesnt get cleaned every day, only once a week. These are more like condos, than hotel rooms. And yes you may be asked to go to a sales pitch, dont go then. There is no suprise that they want you to buy, so there will be pressure. Oh one bad thing- when we got our room cleaned they forgot a couple of things so we had to call twice to get someone to come back and bring the missing towels, soap ect.

This was my second trip to Tahiti Village. I loved it the first time & I loved it the second! Our room was lovely and spacious, beds were comfortable, it was very quiet and we slept great. The staff was helpful and very friendly. We were there 4 days, and really didn't need maid service during that time, so didn't miss it. Plenty of towels to last the two of us. We did need some soap, but just ask one of the maids one morning in the hall, and she gave us some from her housekeeping cart. The lazy river is to die for! Get your innertube and float all day. It's so relaxing. (and, yes, there is a $3.00/day charge for the innertube, but who cares?) It was great to be at such a quiet and peaceful place during the day, then go to the noisy and fun casinos at night. (By the way, the free shuttle to the strip is very convenient and the drivers are helpful.) All in all, it was a great time (again!) and I'll definitely go back.
