We were delighted to spend two weeks at Tahiti village in Las Vegas from Sunday 23rd February to Sunday 9th March. It is the second time I have stayed at Tahiti, stayed four years ago.
My husband and I were delighted with our apartment 1307 in bora bora.
We were close to the main office and close to the shuttle. By the way the shuttle was a real winner, we calculated hundreds of dollars we would have spent on taxis if no shuttle.
The staff were always friendly and efficient and our apartment was kept in pristine condition.
It was so quiet where we were which was great as we needed it after 25 hours flying etc from Perth Western Australia. Love the fact that it is just outside the madness of the strip. We did the Fremont experience tour from the Tahiti and the Red Rock tour as well both were enjoyable .We had a blast in Vegas going to 6 shows and 4 tours and it was great to have a good place to come home to at the end of the day. I forgot to mention we had a beautiful balcony.

Room Tip: where I was 1307 bora bora was great

The Tahiti Village was a delightful surprise from check in to check out. On a busy Nascar Race weekend, they could not have handled the crowd better.
We had a one bedroom, one bath, full kitchen in number 5 tower. It was so clean, comfortable and quiet, with a fully equipped kitchen with ice maker. The bathroom had a steam shower and Jacuzzi tub, a nice surprise. Our balcony was spacious and quiet even though the airport is close. This is a very large facility, so there is a lot of walking from parking garage to rooms. The elevators were fast and frequent.
We used the Lazy river pool and it was very warm and fun. My one complaint would be the Adult only spa. It is too small and they definitely could use another one. We tried many times to get in with no chairs available. We also used the shuttle service to get to the strip, it was great and prompt and yes crowded at high traffic times.
One trip to the strip was enough for us, so we found a great casino just a couple of miles south of the resort, called South Point. It offered a lot of great places to eat, without the high prices and crowds. Just north of the resort is the Town Square Mall. Eating at Bonefish Grill was wonderful, with excellent service.
The trip to Motor Speedway only took about a half an hour on off peak times. After the race with all the traffic it only took one hour to get back to the resort. We think this location is perfect for anything you want to do in Vegas.
We would definitely return to Tahiti Village. It was so nice not to be approached by timeshare sales people. We thought it was very family friendly, so clean and lovely.

We stayed at this property during the first week of March 2014. The one bedroom, Moorea unit was outlined in detail prior to our booking. We knew it had a limited kitchen, one bedroom, only a microwave and small fridge and no balcony. The room was very nice and clean. The kitchen was actually larger than I thought, after reading previous reviews. It is called a limited kitchen for a reason, but it still was equipped with a coffee maker, dishes (although only 4 place settings), granite peninsula with 2 bar stools (there is no kitchen table). The living area has a pull-out couch and a chair along with an armoire and tv. The bathroom is a good size (with tub and shower). The towels are thick and good quality. The vanity is small, but there is a small shelf above the toilet for toiletries. The bedroom is a good size, with ample closet and dresser space, a flat screen tv. The room is has a large window, but it does not have a balcony (remember, this is the lock-off portion). The bed is extremely comfortable--and I am picky about where I sleep! The pillows have a variety of softness so you should have one you that feels like home. We found our room and all areas of the hotel to be quite clean. Our only issue with our room was really that the air conditioner blew out cool air right at the bed--it felt very cold at night and we needed an extra blanket no matter what the temperature was set at in the low to mid 70's.

We were very impressed with the 2 pools and 2 hot tub areas (one is adult only)--one area has the lazy river and the other has the main pool. The main pool area also has a small beach area with actual sand--the kids loved it! We loved the fact that there was always lots of lounge chairs available--in spite of it being a busy week with the ConEx and Nascar events. There is a poolside bar (although we didn't use it) and the excellent staff were readily available to take your order. I loved the cleanliness of the pool area and the fact that there were a lot of areas for the loungers to be in the pool. It was large enough for the kids to be at one end and the adults at another. I have to say it is probably the first timeshare where we saw 2 lifeguards on duty at all times. The music was tasteful and not too loud like some resorts. There was also wifi throughout the resort--worked fine at both the pool and in our room. There also is a small store near the lobby that was unfortunately being renovated, but it will be handy when it opens for business.

The location is perfect in my books. I loved being off the strip. There are 2 free shuttles that alternate leaving every half hour (beginning at 9 am with last one at 11:30pm) and drop off at both New York New York and the Mirage, picking up as late as midnight (or 1:35 on weekends). There were times that we saw the shuttle was full and people had to wait until the next one (although we never experienced that ourselves). Just get there early enough and it shouldn't be a problem. We actually never noticed til we got back that there were no slot machines in the lobby of this hotel.

The resort was close to the airport ($15 taxi ride), right beside Denny's (which does get very busy) and also a Tahiti Joe's Bar and Grill (which we didn't try). It's also half a block away from a 7-11, a McDonalds, numerous fast food places as well as an IHOP, so we found it easy to just walk to grab a bite. The Las Vegas Premium Outlet Mall South is half a block away. Although the weather was great this week, I went to the outlet mall when it was too cool for the pool as it's open from 9-9 except on Sundays. There are loads of great stores and deals to be found at the outlet mall, and there are 2 food courts to chose from (although no great coffee joints--no Starbucks, just Dunkin' Donuts).

All in all, we would definitely stay here again! Although we came as a couple, we saw a lot of young families here--and it would be perfect if you were wanting sun and some family time. Vegas has some incredible architecture (our favorites were the Bellagio, Venetian and Caesar's Palace). But, as a side note, do NOT bring your kids to the strip. It really is not a place for kids, in spite of the image Vegas is wanting to portray as more of a family destination. Many vendors (both adults and kids as well) are on the strip flipping and handing out business-cards with x-rated pictures on them to whomever will take them (other kids or not). Tons of them get tossed on the ground in plain view of little eyes. Definitely not for kids to see. There are exotic dancers in various dress forms on the streets or even in the casino areas that you need to walk around to get anywhere in almost any hotel. We heard that some little girls were wanting to dress up like the exotic dancers as this is what they see as normal here. Really?!! Before you bring your kids to the strip just wanted you to be aware your child may think the same.

Room Tip: We loved having a view of the pool and asked for a fifth floor room in building one.

We really enjoyed staying at this resort the last week of February 2014. The one bedroom unit in Bora Bora was very spacious, the king sized bed very comfortable. The living room, dinning room, and well equipped kitchen were open concept with a nice breakfast bar. The bathroom was very large with both a whirlpool tub and a separate shower ( which could be turned into a steam shower). There was also a washer and dryer in the unit. The outdoor pool area was very beautiful and the huge pool was more than large enough to actually swim in. The whole unit was very clean. The location of this resort was good for us. It is situated on the south end of the strip away from all the busyness of the major hotels and casinos, yet across the street from the premium outlets south. It is also near the airport. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I would think that the rooms overlooking the beautiful pool area would have the nicest view.

If you have the Bora Bora it is a solid four star experience but the other smaller rooms are three start at best. The pool drink service is not the greatest but the pool and lazy river are outstanding. Staff is friendly enough and the shuttle is the best in the business. Absolutely kid friendliest spot in Vegas. I would stay here every time with little to no exceptions. Quiet unlike most casino hotels.

An area of improvement would be wait staff that can offer light food choices while poolside. They just need better pool service. I have been here twice and while parking is limited the parking situation is no worse than many other resorts of this size and quality.

Room Tip: Bora Bora rooms for sure or it will just be average. Pool or inner courtyard view.

Thank you for staying with us on your business trip. We are glad our Bora Bora unit met your expectations and appreciate your comments about our Lazy River and tropical beach pool. Your visit coincided with the start of our summer poolside food and drink service. We were not fully staffed at the time, and are presently completing our summer hires. We will be up to speed very soon. We are sorry for the inconvenience. It is gratifying to know you would stay with us again, and we appreciate your description of us as a family friendly resort. We value your feedback and hope you will consider us again.

We stayed at the resort for the first time after buying a timeshare here. What a beautiful resort. Our room was large with a full kitchen and master bath. The shower was able to be turned into a steamer. The shuttle was free to the strip and ran every half hour. We could pick it up at three different locations which made it super convenient no matter where we had walked to. The staff is excellent and helpful. The on site restaurant was also great. Looking forward to staying here again!
