My wife and I were looking for a nice place for dinner, something quiet and cozy away from the weekend crowds on Fremont. We chanced upon the Triple George Grill right after checking out the new Grand Hotel that opened across the street, and were very happy with our experience.
We sat in one of the private booths off the main bar; the place feels like a steak house should, with lots of dark wood and a nice comfortable ambiance. Our server was very attentive, not hovering but always there when she should be. Our starters of soup & salad were excellent, for entrees my wife had Chicken Christopher (essentially a grilled breast in a light lemon sauce), I had the pot roast. Pot roast is not something I would normally order, but on this night I was in the mood for "comfort food" and it hit the spot. Both dishes were excellent for what they were, well presented and well prepared. Looking around it appeared everyone was very happy; overall, a very nice eating experience.
I really cannot think of any negatives; our meal was nice, service excellent. I would not say this is one of the best meals we have ever had in a restaurant, but it was one of the nicest places we have been to in Downtown Las Vegas, a much better value than many of the other premier restaurants in the casinos, just a block off of Fremont Street. We will definitely go again!
