“It's all about the bathtub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

It's a giant Jacuzzi tub. It's awesome.
The hotel has had to cut corners with amenities over the last year or so, and I wouldn't eat in their overpriced bar, but the valet's are very friendly and most of their staff is too. I do wish you could self park though.

Room Tip: They are all huge, but if you want a view or washer/dryer you may have to pay extra.

Thank you for the review and feedback. I'm glad the staff has given you great service. I am also glad you enjoyed the jacuzzi in your room. I am a little confused with the overpriced bar. I feel like we are well under the Strip prices and when you get 1/2 off for happy hour you are going to have a tough time finding better deals in town. I know there may be some places with better drink specials but few as close to the Strip and that are not complete holes in the wall. Either way we certainly appreciate your businss and hope we can continue to have your patronage.

This was our first trip to Las Vegas let alone our first trip to the States but not the last for either. Having done extensive research into hotels and wanting a slightly smaller, non-smoking hotel and one that was not on the strip we opted for the Platinum where we struck gold. Having had email contact with Derek regarding dates / prices we booked a seven night stay arriving Christmas Day mid-afternoon. Upon arrival we were greeted by the valet and reception staff both were extremely polite and friendly. Check in was a breeze and took no longer than 5 minutes, after a 10 hour flight the last thing we wanted to do was wait in line for hours like other large hotels that we witnessed. On entering our suite we were amazed by the sheer size of it and the well-appointed furniture and fittings the huge bed so comfortable. Our room was on the fourth floor and had a strip view albeit the rear of the hotels but it was still fantastic. The walk to the strip took about 10 minutes so we didn't feel like we were way out of the way and felt very safe at all times of the day and night walking to and from the hotel. The hotel was extremely clean and tidy the staff were very professional, attentive, approachable and able to answer any questions that we had during our stay. The rooms were well maintained and the housekeeping staff did a good job of keeping it that way. We never experienced any noise from other guests that we have encountered in the past when staying in other hotels. All in all it was a fantastic break taking in Christmas and New Year, watching the fireworks from our balcony was fantastic although a little chilly! My wife also enjoyed her relaxing treatment at the Spa on the fourth floor. We only ate in the restaurant once during our stay which happened to be breakfast but I could not miss out on the chance of steak for breakfast which I highly recommend and again the waiting staff were very good. From our experience I would highly recommend the Platinum Hotel and Spa and we will be returning in the future to enjoy the hospitality that it afforded us on this memorable trip.

This was our first stay at the Platinum. We were very pleased with this hotel. The suites are large and comfortable and even include a washer & dryer. The hotel is within easy walking distance of many of the large casinos. However, we were able to enjoy the quiet of a non-gaming hotel. We utilized room service, which was excellent, as well as the restaurant and bar. We really liked Jen, who was our server in the restaurant, and Marcos at the front door. Had a great time!

Thank you for the great review. We are certainly fortunate to have such wonderful associates like Marco and Jhen. Being a smaller property, we have the ability to give that personalized service, and allow our team members like the two above really shine at what they do. Take care and we hope to see you next time.

Well we were in trouble, I booked a late flight deal that would land us in Vegas on New Years Eve, everywhere wanted $450 plus for a room, so I emailed the hotel operations manager, and hey presto he sorted us out a great deal for our 7 nights.

Valet as usual were on their game, one evening my wife got out of the passenger seat having taken her shoes off in the car and accidentally smashed a glass on the drive, the valet put his feet down and insisted that she walk on them to reach the entrance, chivalry is not dead!!
We watched the fireworks from the 4th floor pool deck complete with complimentary Champagne.

One continuing grumble I used to have about this hotel was that housekeeping was really slack, sometimes not even running a vacuum over the carpet, oh did I tell you, THEY HAVE NEW CARPETS IN THE BEDROOMS.
Well someone has taken over the reigns and now everything was fine, congratulations.

Its the little things that add up to make this our home from home, like the free hot apple cider in the lobby in the mornings, and in the summer they load up on chocolate chip cookies and flavoured iced water to keep you going.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain room view, it will be much quieter. Strip views face Koval with the constant beep...

I just returned from another wonderful stay at this hotel (2nd visit in four months). It was a family trip and we had a block of several rooms. Everything was outstanding!! Our rooms were large with a terrific view of the strip and even included a washer and dryer. So much larger and more comfortable than other hotels. The food and drinks were delicious...every morning our big group went to the restaurant for a fabulous breakfast...the Eggs Benedict is a must try! The service truly sets this hotel apart from others...we were incredibly well taken care of from the moment we arrived. The staff is extremely helpful and detail oriented. They go out of their way to ensure an amazing stay. I want to thank the entire team for a visit we will cherish! We will be back!!

Great room and location. Reasonably price rooms. Oversized rooms with a nice stocked kitchen. Oversize spa tub also. And walking distance from the Las Vegas strip. You can't beat it.

I also want to shout out Jimmy for his superb customer service!

Thank you for the review. Jimmy is truly a special individual. His ability to remember guest's names is truly uncanny. He will remember guests that he met three years ago...I don't know how he does it but he does a remarkable job for us.
