We were planning on staying with friends in Las Vegas Saturday night before moving on and spending the rest of our trip at the Sahara. However, our friends ended up being out of town due to a mix up and we were stuck looking for a hotel on a Saturday night in Las Vegas - our options were limited. The hotel is located about two blocks north of downtown. We paid $105 for a "suite" which was an incredibly small bedroom and living room separated by a wall. Interestingly the room had a "no smoking" sign and ashtrays.
The night was peacful but be warned - behind the hotel are some run down houses who apparently keep chickens in their backyard. As soon as the sun came over the horizon the roosters started going off. I told my wife to go ahead and get up as they weren't about to stop any time soon.
Overall, not a first choice for a hotel to stay at but at $100 for a Saturday night it was a serviceable place to crach for 5-6 hours until the roosters start up.
