Le Reve is a spectacular feast for the senses. It really moved me. It's not a Cirque Du Soleil production and does not have the quantity of acrobatics as a Cirque show, but I dare say it's more engaging, more artistic, and more imaginative than any of the 4 Cirque shows I have seen. I would see Le Reve over and over and over again.
It's seems impossible to have a bad seat, as the theater is circular and I believe no seat is farther than 40 feet from the central stage area. The theater itself is a sight to behold as you wait for the show to start. Then, the lights dim and it's visual wonder after visual wonder as you are transported into the dream of a young girl. I was mesmerized, hypnotized, and thrilled throughout, and felt sad when the dream came to an end.
Fans of lots and lots of gymnastic stunts might prefer to see Cirque's "O." My husband, for instance, commented at the end of Le Reve that he wished it had had more. That wasn't an issue for me, though. The artistry and imagination are remarkable. This is one of the best shows I have ever seen.
