If you want a relaxing experience in Las Vegas, you have to stay at the Signature at MGM Grand. The Signature is a private area connected to the main MGM Grand Hotel via corridors and moving sidewalks. Being private means you have your own fitness centers, pools, food outlets, and there are no more than eight suites per floor. You get the benefits of being close to all the Las Vegas Strip action while having a peaceful retreat after a long day of business or leisure activities.

The service is very good, although I think there needs to be more improvements in the front desk area--too slow for my tastes, even with only a few guests checking in. Otherwise, the rooms are immaculate and everything is well-kept and in working order. We had two junior suites, both spacious and nicely appointed.

I also appreciated all of the MGM Grand amenities, including the fabulous restaurants like Seablue, craftsteak and Wolfgang Puck's eatery. They aren't cheap, but the quality is excellent. All in all, a great place to unwind for a few days or get your business done.

Stayed in Vegas for 070707
Choose this hotel based on other positive reviews . . and was not dissappointed.

We stayed in a suite

Rooms are huge and well equipped . .we also had stunning views down towards the strip and the mountains.

Fully equipped kitchen is great with huge fridge freezer, massive bathrooms, lounge etc
We also had a balcony , but was a bit dissapointed that there was no outside seats or loungers - until we opened the door and got blasted by 110 degree heat . .you could only stay out there for minutes at a time.

We were in the middle of a mega heat wave according the news channels

What I also found amazing was you hardly encounter any staff except those on the front desk.
They have seperate lifts for cleaning staff etc . .so you only ever see other guests . . .an the whole place seems to run on its own.

We were located in Tower 1, we popped over to tower 2 + 3 for a look around but they are identical. (tower 3 seems to be catering for residence stays)

The pools were excellent (not huge) but never really crowded up
the pool staff were nice and helpful and the bar pool straff were always happy to serve you despite the amazing hot temperature

We tipped the pool staff because they would aways set up the sun loungers with about 4 towels and make sure you were happy.

I was a bit concerned about the distance from the tower blocks the main MGM casino block . . .but when we got there it was fine

You basically come out of the Back of the hotel past the pools and straight into a covered air conditioned walk way
This walkway also has moving escaltors, so you can just take it eeasy as it delivers you to your final destination . . or if your in a rush to lose your money you could always walk briskly.

I found this part of the holliday quite enjoyable as it was nice to walk off some of the huge buffet dinners.
When you get to the end of the walkways you then enter an area where the main MGM pool is located.
Signature guests get in Free . . .we only spent a few hours there but the whole location was spot on.
Carry on walking past an amazing selection of shops bars and restaurants until you reach the main Casino entrance.
WOW!!! .........its massive
Your senses are attacked from all directions
The sounds and sights are amazing . . you need a few days to take it all in.
Even if you dont Gamble you could enjoy a holiday here just people watching.
We had a great time . . . load to see & do.
Walking up the strip to ballgio fountains was awsome
Just be prepared for the hot climate if you go peak season

This hotel is absolutely awfull. I stayed in a junior suite for 5 nights over christmas and the room, staff and general atmosphere were abysmal.
The rooms are actually appartments which are owned by private investors and rented as luxury suites and therefore felt like studio appartments not a luxury suite as they are advertised.
The complex is advertised as a luxury gated resort away from the rush of the strip, however it does not live upto the expectation and in reality you gain nothing from the location or the concept of; what is in reality a high rise appartment building.
There is an additional $25 dailly resort fee, which entitles you to foul bottled water and a newspaper and this is just the tip of the awfull value. The lifts rarely work and the lobby was full of complaining guests at all hours.
Do not fall for the concept. It is entirely flawed and you pay top prices to stay at the end of the strip in a sub standard studio.
If you were looking for something along the same line as the signature concept then the Skylofts seem like the better option, however for less money you can get a quality room at Ceasars Palace, which is the nuts!

  • Liked — TV in the bathroom
  • Disliked — Awfull staff, flawed concept, terrible value, average beyond the point of acceptability

My wife and I stayed in Tower 1 which is the closest of the three to the MGM casino. We had a one bedroom suite on the 22nd floor and were very pleased with the accomodation and the price. While this suite might seem like more than two people would need, having a large kitchen/dining/sitting area and bathroom completely separate from the bedroom and its large bath area meant that my wife, an early person, would not be disturbed by my late night comings and goings.

The suite was kept very clean and when on the first morning housekeeping noticed the garbage disposal didn't work (previous tenents had thown bottle caps into it) a maintenance man appeared to fix it in less than a half hour.

Although the lines were short at check-in and three people were at the desk the wait was extremely long as it seemed all of the people in front of us had problems and the pleasent desk people were going to take as long as necessary to help resolve them, I think refering at least one of the issues to a manager would have been more considerate to those waiting behind. When it was our turn our reservations were in order and we were registered quickly. When I went out to my car at the valet parking to take care of our luggage the man there suggested that if we could mange to get it to our room by ourselves we would avoid sitting around and waiting for it. It was a useful tip and it really wasn't a problem for us.

A real issue for many people will be the length of the walk and the amount of time it takes to get to the casino. There are moving walkways that help get you to the Grand but once inside of it there is still a fairly long walk to get past the restaurants and into the casino itself and you pretty much have to go through the casino to get to the strip. I estimate it took between five and ten minutes from tower 1 to the casino entrance and about fifteen to the strip exit. My wife and I are in our late sixties and she has a bad knee, but as only moderate gamblers we saw it more as an inconveniece than a problem.

On the other hand as we were walking back to our suite we talked to a couple who actually took a cab from tower 1 around the block to the MGM Grand entrance. We didn't ask them what the cab driver had to say about that. The system for cabs at the Signature seems kind of spotty. When you ask valet to call one they send a message down to the gated entrance on Harmon Street. Then a light is turned on and passing cabs are alerted to the fact that a cab is needed. On our first night we were fortunate enough to walk out just as a cab arrived with a drop-off. On the second night we were told that there were three ahead of us and of course they had no idea how long we would have to wait. We elected to walk the fifteen minutes to the Grand entrance where there was a continuous steam of cabs serving a fast moving line.

It had been years since we last stayed at the Grand and based on that experience we weren't in a hurry to go back. But, we were both surprised and pleased with what has happened since.

My wife and I spent 5 days in Las Vegas over the Christmas holiday. The hotel room was great. It was very clean and pretty quiet. The bathrooms and bed were very nice. We had an awesome view of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel, from our 33rd floor room. The walk to the MGM Casino was approximately 10 minutes, but there is a moving walkway that is fully enclosed.

We were told on numerous occasions that this is the slow time for Vegas, so we should have had no problems with customer service. However, customer services was very poor. The hotel is valet parking only. When we wanted to leave the hotel in our rental car we had problems even reaching the valet stand to have them pull our car around. When we did reach the valet, the wait for the rental car was 30-45 minutes. This is entirely too long to wait for a car to be pulled around. We were forced on one occasion to hail our own taxi to leave the hotel.

There were also times we wanted to reach the front desk or concierge to ask them a question, but could not reach anyone. The phone would ring without anyone ever answering. When we spoke with management regarding these issues, they did not seem to care, but when pressed, they gave us $50 food and beverage credit. This was certainly not sufficient to cover the lack of customer service over a 5 day period.

I would definitely consider staying somewhere else, unless you plan to walk everywhere or will have no need to deal with the front desk.
