My husband & I stayed here for his 50th birthday over Easter weekend (Fri night to Monday). It was wonderful! I will get the one negative out of the way first.
The only negative (which I don't fault the hotel) is the lack of supervision and respect on the part of the parents and their children at the pools. I understand families need vacations too, but come on people, a little respect for others can go a long way. My husband was disappointed at the amount of children at the pool (he was hoping for a more adult atmosphere at the pool for this trip), along with their behavior and lack of control on on the parents part. The 2 jacuzzi's were filled with children and babies with no apparent "potty" protection, the water was sooo ewe looking! Hence we renamed them the "pee-cuzzi's".
This hotel/resort was so much different than any other hotel/resort we have been to in Las Vegas. The staff appears to genuinely care about the guests and will attempt to accommodate most requests with a smile. I have to mention "Stephanie" at the conceirge desk because she made all my special requests go off without a hitch, and the bday cake I ordered for my husband was absolutely delicious! THANKS STEPHANIE!!!!!!!
Rooms: I asked to upgrade upon check-in, but we decided not to pay the extra and go with the basic room and we were very happy with our decision. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom huge and well lit with very nice amenities that were replenished upon our request. We had a "strip" view and we loved sitting in the chairs in front of the floor to ceiling windows just staring at the sunrise and all the lights after dark. The rooms are very quiet and seem to be sound-proofed really well, unlike other properties we have experienced in Las Vegas.
Food: The Japanese restaurant was very good and I am a very picky eater. We had the Cafe for breakfast and it was average. The room service cake I ordered as a surprise for my husband was out of this world delicious! I want to go back just for that cake.
Spa: I had the best massage yet, thanks Brooke! The fact that the spa facilities were included in the resort fee was really nice. It was nice to go sit by the quiet spa pool that had no children.
Pool: The pool area is beautiful and well laid out. The pool wait staff does an excellent job. The pool chairs are some of the most comfortable I've experienced. And they are not stingy with the towels.
We only left the resort to go out to eat Saturday night to another place my husband had requested, it was just ok this time. It was really nice to just stay put and not go near the "strip".
I think we've decided that we will return for one of our birthdays each year.
