We got married in Aug 09 in the Silver Wedding Chapel at Mandalay Bay. It turned out beautifully. The flowers, venue, music, photos, etc were perfect! I was a bit nervous in the planning process as our wedding coordinator was not always on the spot, however, I was pleasantly surprised how it all came together. We received many compliments. We had our dinner at Fleur de Lys and the food was absolutely fantastic - however the service was not. Many of the instructions were overlooked and the head server was very unprofessional and amateur. The manager never had the courtesy to stop by once and clearly did not communciate our dinner instructions to the staff. And this is probably one of the most expensive restaurants on the strip $$$$$! But, our guests had no idea anything was wrong and raved about the food. So overall it turned out fine. We had a wedding cake from M Bay room service and it was sublime! It was so delicious. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of effort on the exterior flower arrangement on the tiers, but it was ok. Group Dining also did a great job coordinating everything. Overall, I would recommend having your wedding at M Bay. Good price for a high quality wedding event!

The Silver Wedding Chapel was great, we loved the décor, the minister was brilliant, staff were great on the day, photo’s were all well shot, flowers were beautiful, pianist was spot on. We loved it, it was exactly what we were after; only a few family members, a short service and a beautiful venue! Some emails went unanswered in the run up to the big day which was annoying but all the essentials were sorted (flowers, music etc was all selected and faxed by us about a month or so before hand). I rented the tuxedos online, we collected the day before got them fitted/altered and they we’re picked up from the hotel bell hop the next day (from Tuxedo Junction who we’re brilliant). Faxing the details felt a bit outdated, especially faxing payment details. We popped in the day before and just checked what times we needed to arrive had one last look at the chapel and we were set! Had the wedding broadcast on the web so most of our family who were still in the UK could watch and they said it was good quality. We brought the rights to the photos as we’re having a big reception back in the UK and our photographer will combine all the photos in to a large wedding album for us, pricey but I’m sure it will be worth it.

Let me start from the beginning. Our wedding coordinator was Aleena from the start she responded to my E-mails always within a day or 2 and answered any questions I could come up with. We purchased the Opal Shores plan which included plenty and upgraded to "The Valley of the Falls" plan which includes their outdoor location. This is why I chose MB. Aleena was very helpful with all of the flower upgrades that we did. I upgraded my bouqet, bridesmaids flowers, boutineeres (they threw in one free) and purchased additional rose petals for the aisle runner. All of this was just what I requested & looked exactly like the pictures I sent to Aleena. Just so you know they do not have ceremony decor centerpieces like the ones they have in their pictures so I was willing to pay whatever I had to, to get them. Once I spoke to Aleena about it she said not to worry about it since her manager got married a couple of days ago we would use those. They were silk arrangements so they didn't charge me & they were FAB!!!. The Wedding coordinators did exactly what they said they would. There was a small emergency in the end because of rain & wind. They called suggesting we move it inside 1 hour before I told them absolutly not & they never argued they just said okay & went with it. Lucky for us weather cleared and turned out perfect. The wedding was everything I could have ever wanted. Our violinist was even really cool. He came out in the movie "Casino" & wore the cutest glasses ever!! The minister was super friendly & helped us every step of the way since we were so nervous. He performed a beautiful ceremony & said wonderful things. Our photographer was amazing his name was Rick & he was great, if you can request him he is the best. My dad even accidentally broke one of our champagne flutes included in our package so I had to ask for one extra & they gave me 2 more with no questions asked. If we ever re-new our vows it will be here. I loved it! Can't believe they created my dream for me when I'm from San Antonio, TX all the way in LV without them ever seeing me till the actual day. Can't wait till we meet again MB!

My husband and I were married at the Mandalay Bay Wedding Chapel in October 2008. The chapel was great! The minister was terrific! We were able to write our own vows, which was very important to us. The most important aspect was the photography. I contacted Cashman Pro, the photographer company, several months prior to our wedding, as I was interested in seeing the photographer's portfolio. I was given the name of the our photographer; I contacted him asking to see his portfolio and never received a response. I tried contacting the photographer several times and never received a response. About a month before our wedding I contacted the company again, explaining I had never heard back from the photographer and was sent a generic Mandalay Bay wedding photographer brochure. I was not thrilled by the brochure and asked if I could set up a meeting with the photographer the day before our wedding. I met with our photographer, James, the day before our wedding to go over specifically what I wanted and what I didn't want. He wasn't taking any notes but figured our wedding was just the next day so he may be able to remember my requests. We had the Diamond Lights package which came with the extra hour of photography. We walked around with the photographer and he asked us to pose in some of the pictures I had explained I did not like in the meeting I had with him. I did not stress about it as it was our wedding day and I was enjoying our day. When we went to look at our photos we struggled to get the 40 some photos included in our package. I was so disappointed with the quality of the photographs. It was clear he didn't pay attention to anything I had said and requested in our meeting. I was almost in tears because the photos were so important to me. Many of our photos had shadows, the lighting was off, the blocking of the shot was poor (not acceptable in professional photos). My husband says my standard and expectations are a bit high... but that is why I met with the photographer the day before to go over my expectations and specific requests. I was most disappointed that I had taken the time to meet with the photographer and made it clear how important the photographer was and it was evident he was just meeting with me to appease me. Other than the photographer pretty much everything was good.
The other aspect that is worth mentioning is our reception at Lupo. We had about 50 people and didn't want to have a set catering menu; we wanted our guests to be able to order off the regular menu. Lupo was the only restaurant in Mandalay Bay willing to do this for us. It was great! The manager, Johnnie, was so amazing and so was the staff. I would highly recommend Lupo!
